Hey there, Oak Residents! Welcome to September! It's hard to believe that it's already been over two weeks since move-in weekend, isn't it? Time flies when you're having fun! As the semester progresses, we encourage you to keep actively working on building a community that you love within your suite, on your floor, and throughout the building! Some fun suggestions to help you connect with other residents: • If you and your suitemates all agree, keep your front door open for a few hours in the afternoon/evening! This is a great way to tell others you're ready to interact and make new friends. • Start a floor GroupMe with your RA's help. Use it to invite floormates out to midnight Taco Bell runs, arrange group outings to campus events, and check in on each other throughout the semester! • Be friendly! When you pass someone new in the hall or elevator, say hello and introduce yourself. Everyone here is new, which means that everyone is in the same boat! There is no such thing as too many new friends! As always, if there's anything that we can do to help out, just let us know! We are here for you! -Team ResLife
