UMSL ResLife

Letter from our staff: 1

In this issue

Hey there, Oak Residents! Happy October, and welcome to Fall! We hope your first month learning at UMSL and living in Oak Hall has been truly spectacular! Only 2/3 of the semester is left, so it's time to start getting involved on campus! The sooner you get plugged in with new people, groups, and experiences, the better! There are so many ways to start getting involved! Some of our favorites are listed below:

• Ask a friend if you can join them at a meeting/event of an organization they belong to and love! This is a great way to try something new with less anxiety, and to make some friends in the process! • Search TritonSync and choose one event or organization meeting every week to go to from now until finals week! At the beginning of Spring semester, you can join your favorites. • Think ahead! Which organization would look amazing on your resume? What groups could you join that would be advantageous to discuss in a future interview? Now is the time to start building your directed resume- it's never too early!!! As always, if you'd like any help getting plugged in, talk to your RA or any ResLife staff member. We'd love to accompany you to an event, or just chat about which campus groups might be the best fit for you. -ResLife Staff
