Best Friend of Friends Award
The Best Friends of Friends Award honors those individuals with tremendous commitment and dedication to our work. Over the course of many years, these individuals have donated their time, talent, and spirit to support Friends Without A Border. Dr. Setthy Ung is a long-time medical volunteer from Australia with Khmer ancestry. Setthy first volunteered at Angkor Hospital for Children in 2002. He now repeatedly spends time at Lao Friends Hospital for Children as an Emergency Physician. Setthy’s dedication has been an invaluable asset for training the next generations of doctors and nurses in Cambodia and Laos. Barry & Naomi Cohen have been supporting Friends Without A Border’s work for over 15 years. The Cohens are actively involved in a local support group, Friends of Friends Pennsylvania, which organizes various fundraising events in Philadelphia to benefit Angkor Hospital for Children. Barry also participates annually in the Chubb Charity Challenge Golf Tournament, which brings together the insurance industry to raise money for charities, including Friends Without A Border.
