USING THE video timeline

You can now edit videos and create some decent animations directly within Photoshop without having to use the likes of Premiere or After Effects. The following pages outline some of the steps you’ll need to get started working with video natively in Photoshop. As well as looking at how to import and edit footage using the timeline, we’ll also look at how you can use layer properties and masks to produce slick animations to go alongside your video. Think of this workshop as an example brief – you’ve been asked to create a quick sample video for a client – and here’s how you can do it without leaving the comfort of Photoshop.
