Representing an ideology that traversed the boundaries of convention and defined a new generation of sonic revolutionaries, British rave culture is now recognised as one of the most iconic movements in recent cultural history. Following a colossal sold-out debut last year, United Festival returns to Finsbury Park to close the summer for the second year running. Celebrating over 25 years of British rave culture, United have enlisted leading instigators of a movement that resonated across the globe to shape the face of modern-day club culture. UNITED FESTIVAL
The Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia offers a swathe of artists operating at the cutting edge of today’s global psychedelic renaissance, alongside visual art, film, performance and mind expanding visual delights. Spiritualized, Factory Floor and Hookworms will be amongst those playing live and Brian Jonestown Massacre trailblazer Anton Newcombe will be the festival’s first Artist In Residence. Looks set to be an amazing Weekend.
LOOE MUSIC FESTIVAL WIN 1 X PAIR OF TICKETS
18-20 September It’s the last of the summer festivals in a dramatic, magical location. Visit for the day or stay all weekend and when you’re done dancing holes in the sand, you can stroll back to your holiday cottage, hotel, B&B, caravan or grab a shuttle bus to the local campsites. For three days in September the little town of Looe in South East Cornwall gets hit with big music, manic entertainment and a smattering of culture for good measure. The festival pops up from nowhere to transform the beach and the streets, giving locals and visitors from all over the world a chance to mingle and enjoy the show. Everywhere is the venue, everybody’s welcome to the party. Joining in the fun this year are Johny Marr, The Proclaimers, Buzzcocks and Red Hot Chilli Pipers. 057
