Training Courses ECO-UNESCO provides a range of short courses for both personal and continuous professional development. All participants of short courses receive ECO-UNESCO certificates.

ECO-UNESCO Young Environmentalist Awards 6 Steps to Success Training

What?

A half day workshop to equip young people, teachers and youth leaders with the skills to carry out an environmental action projects using ECO-UNESCO’s ‘6 steps to success’ approach. Participants will learn how to identify environmental issues, to carry out a project and to communicate and raise awareness about environmental issues. The workshop will also look at curriculum links, CSPE action projects, as well as highlighting the diverse range of skills young people learn throughout ECO-UNESCO’s Young Environmentalists Awards process. Skills include: project planning; team work; communication; critical thinking; researching; active citizenship and many more.

Who?

Young people (aged 10–18), teachers, youth leaders and anyone interested in participating in ECO-UNESCO’s Young Environmentalist Awards.

Where?

Regional training sessions take place throughout the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. A limited number of workshops and information sessions are available from September–November 2013 for registered groups.

When?

Contact yea@ecounesco.ie for full details or to arrange your training/workshop. Time: depending on groups needs 40 mins–3 hour sessions available.

How Much? Free for ECO-UNESCO members who have registered a group to participate in the ECO-UNESCO Young Environmentalist Awards Programme.
