Flexible locations and working hours… As a Fun Kitchen franchisee, you will be allocated an exclusive territory to operate your franchise. This means no one else can operate the Fun Kitchen business in your area without your permission. Within your territory, you get to decide your working hours and the type of workshops you offer. You also have the Exeter team to provide a back up if you need additional staff support to run your workshops and to ensure the business continues in your absence – so you still get to enjoy a holiday!

We actively encourage you to come up with new ideas and formats for workshops and we offer you a test area in our Exeter operationthat way you don’t have the financial risk of a new workshop format or customer base. Once we have the format tried, tested and can prove it’s profitability, it’s ready for you to incorporate into your own business model. We also apply the very same theory to our core business, benefitting franchisees including a new Fun Kitchen app with games, new shopping list tools from our recipes, as well as a new Fun Kitchen recipe book and merchandising.
The Fun Kitchen Brand! The Fun Kitchen brand is growing from strength to strength. You will be part of our exciting Fun Kitchen brand, so it is important that you are the right person to represent Fun Kitchen and other franchisees by delivering the highest quality fun-filled workshops to our customers. So we’ll invest the time needed to ensure you are able and confident to run a quality Fun Kitchen experience, and to provide you with the correct level of on-going support for you to be able to succeed. We already have a comprehensive database of loyal customers and, because we initially focused on the South West, chances are we already have customers in our database that are local to you. Just some of the business development activities we undertake to enhance brand awareness and recognition include: • TV and TV celebrity related competitions which build our customer database • Regular press editorials for newspapers and magazines • Informative newsletters to existing and potential customers • Publishing articles in education and industry magazines • Regional and national advertising e.g. primary times • Resources to children’s centres, schools and businesses
Your Franchise Packages… Love or hate office admin? Once we have established your requirements, we will tailor a franchise package that meets your needs with a ‘service’, ’support’ or ‘start up’ options; 1. Service: Let us take it off your hands; we do all the work for you 2. Support: You make it happen, but we are here for advise and support 3. Start Up: A combination of the two, during your start up phase while you are bedding in, we’ll provide the service for you, and hand it over for you to operate at the completion of your start up phase.

Your First Steps! The thought of running your own first workshop might feel a little daunting but don’t worry; we will be there for you every step of the way. We will work with you and support you in organising and marketing your first workshops including: ● Training on managing operations (depending on the franchise package you select) ● Workshop delivery training. As a minimum this will include; ◌ Supporting experienced staff in a workshop to gain a full experience for yourself ◌ Running one of our established workshops, with the support of our staff ◌ Running your own franchise first 2 workshops with the support of our staff
Investment Okay so we do love having fun, but there is one serious side to what we do- the finances. After all you are likely to be interested in a Fun Kitchen franchise to top up your income.
The income you receive from workshops will depend on the number of workshops and type that you decide to offer. You can expect income to be between £600 and £900 for a full day workshop. Ingredients will cost around £100 and room hire can vary from £20 per hour for a fully equipped teaching kitchen, to £10 per day for a scout hut. Our franchise package will be tailored to your needs depending on the package options you choose. Typically this will be a one off investment cost of £2000-£4000 and a monthly licence fee from £100 per month plus VAT if applicable, and this increased each year by 7%. As one of our first
franchisees, we would be very happy to build an introductory offer to spread the cost of the initial investment or offer a trial hire package.
