Each group chooses a navigator, teacher, photographer, note keeper (and a Banker for the Nachlaot tour). You are given a Mission Pack with tasks and clues of things to do in the area. Answers can be found from the street names, houses in the area, colors that they see etc. Through the game you learn about the neighborhood, the history and the culture. Experience the natural surroundings, the beautiful architecture, gardens and mountain views on this interactive tour. The workshop begins with a tour of the village, as each individual makes quick drawings of items that are inspiring to him/her as an artist. Followed by a period of drawing to develop sketches of objects, architecture and spaces. Inspirational spaces include the Maayan (Mary's Spring), the Gardens of the Sisters of Notre Dame, mountain landscapes, two revolving water mills and unique buildings of stone. A group critique follows with a showing of works.

SKETCHBOOK TOUR FOCUS ARCHAEOLOGY 2 hours Ages 7+ Artifacts: Form, Function and Design Walk through the Archaeology galleries of the Israel Museum and use the artifacts as subjects for your drawings. Participants will draw maps of their own archaeological site, including the surface and the cross-section revealing layers of artifacts. Each participant will develop an "archaeology kit" of tools needed to work on the site.
