My child is truly happy at FSA.

She wakes up excited to go to

school every single day, not just for the academics, but for the

experiences that make her feel

alive. From playing volleyball and staying active with her friends, to getting hands-on with the

rocketry team, to spending hours

creating in the Innovation Lab, her second home, FSA has become a place where she grows, explores, and belongs.

Foundations of Character

Early Years

At FSA, the earliest years are shaped with care and tradition. Literacy, numeracy, and creativity are woven into joyful discovery, while purposeful play ignites imagination. Teachers nurture not just learners, but the

promise of future leaders. Our teachers look beyond the child in front of them to see the promise of the person they are becoming. In Pre-K, learning is joyful, intentional, and

deeply personal. Teachers nurture curiosity through sensory play, storytelling, music,

movement, and early language exposure. Each child’s pace is honored, and every spark of potential is celebrated.

Kindergarten blends structure and

spontaneity. Students dive into literacy and numeracy through hands-on activities, collaborative projects, and creative

expression. Enrichment in music, art, and world languages begins here — helping

students see themselves as learners and kind classmates.

We don’t just teach; we listen, we observe, and we celebrate every milestone.

Courtney Ford School Counselor

“Is play part of learning?”

Absolutely. Play is an essential part of a child’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth. Through both structured

and unstructured play, students explore new ideas, use their imagination, and apply skills in meaningful ways. Our classrooms offer hands-on centers and activities

that spark curiosity, independence, and collaboration,

all while aligning with academic goals. Most importantly, play nurtures joy and confidence, keeping students engaged and excited to learn.

What Parents Ask “Is technology integrated early?” Yes, technology is integrated early and intentionally. Even our youngest students learn to code using screen-free robotics, design and play their own digital games on iPads, and use interactive storytelling tools to bring their writing and imagination to life.

The middle years are a time of courage, growth, and discovery.

Middle School

At FSA, students are challenged to think boldly and pursue

excellence in every area of learning. They engage in advanced

and accelerated coursework, travel abroad, take on purposeful leadership opportunities, and represent our school in national and international academic competitions.

With the support of dedicated teachers, students set individual academic and personal goals that guide their journey

throughout the year. Each challenge becomes a steppingstone,

and each success helps build resilience and character.

Students also take Creative Problem-Solving classes and

dedicate time to passion projects that allow them to explore their interests and share their ideas in meaningful ways. These

experiences prepare them not only for academic achievement but also for a lifetime of innovation, leadership, and impact.

person who enters our halls brings a story, and here, that story is

noticed, valued, and nurtured. Students are supported not only for who they are today, but for who they are becoming.

Our counselors don’t advise from a distance; they listen with care, offer steady guidance, and walk beside students through every

turning point. When academics intensify or questions about the future arise, students have a trusted adult in their corner. With small

classes and intentionally low counselor-to-student ratios, teachers and counselors know each student by name, by strength, and by

aspiration, providing the right challenge and encouragement at the right time.

PASSION & OPPORTUNITY

Our students discover passion and possibility through more than academics. Whether through academic teams, honor societies, athletics, arts, or service projects, they find their niche and often more than one. International trips and exchange opportunities expand horizons, while ICARE values anchor students in integrity and character. Futurefocused courses in AI and innovation ensure they’re ready for what’s next.

Prepared for Every Tomorrow! Starting in ninth grade, FSA students begin a journey of discovery through weekly College & Career Readiness classes and personalized counseling.

From essay writing and scholarship research to creating

custom academic pathways, students graduate with clarity

and confidence — ready for the next step. Our counseling program is more than guidance; it’s a partnership that

supports every step of the journey. We keep counselor-tostudent ratios low to ensure every voice is heard and every plan is personal. Safety, accessibility, and mental wellbeing aren’t add-ons—they’re part of our foundation.

The House System is the heartbeat of student life at High School, offering students and staff authentic ways to connect, build community, and engage in our leadership curriculum. Every student is welcomed into one of our four houses; Beacon, Haven, Nova, or Valor, where they develop identity, camaraderie, and pride that transcend grade levels. Through competitions, service projects, leadership opportunities, and community events, the houses foster mentorship, celebrate achievements, and provide a direct line for student voice.

PASSION PROJECTS

A passion project goes beyond simply taking on a leadership role in an organization. It’s about diving into a pursuit that goes beyond the usual high school experience, creating something extraordinary and meaningful. These projects can vary greatly in form, but what unites them is the deep and lasting commitment to an area of genuine interest—your “passion.”

A passion project is a tangible indicator of a student’s passions: a project, experiment, portfolio, or an endeavor on which they spent substantial time learning, tinkering, or creating.

Tradition Meets Innovation!

STEM

Science is at the core of everything we do. We

officially opened our Observatory in October 2025.

Our Astronomy Club has discovered a new planet. We named it Fulton!

At FSA, innovation grows from a deep-rooted heritage of curiosity and discovery. In robotics labs, engineering studios, and coding challenges, students don’t just complete assignments: they experiment, collaborate, and bring ideas to life in ways that feel meaningful and personal. Supported by partnerships with universities and industry professionals, our students gain the confidence to take risks, solve real problems, and reimagine what the future could look like. From Science Olympiad to Robotics, Debate, and Model UN, FSA’s competitive teams reflect more than talent; they reflect a community that values discipline, intellect, and

genuine camaraderie. Students cheer for one another, lift each other through setbacks, and celebrate each victory, big or small, with the enthusiasm of a family. Achievements on national and international stages speak to a culture where competition is not simply about winning, but about growth and mastery that make FSA special. ASTRONOMY SOCIETY

SCRIPTA

ROCKETRY CLUB members dive into the theory and science of rocketry while engaging in hands-on design and construction. They build, launch, collect real flight data, refine their designs, and rebuild—pushing their rockets to achieve precise altitude and timing goals. Every launch is an experiment in real weather conditions—wind, temperature, and humidity make each flight unpredictable and scientifically rich. This is true rocket science— and our students love every moment of it! ASTRONOMY SOCIETY leads innovative, cutting-edge projects. Our team explores the cosmos through deep-sky and planetary imaging with advanced telescopes and our on-campus observatory. We are designing and building a CubeSat satellite, scheduled for launch in 2027, to conduct atmospheric research and test new space technologies. For FSA students, space is not the end—it’s just the beginning. SCRIPTA is our peer-reviewed student research journal where students engage in research, writing, peer review, editing, and publishing. One of Scripta’s main goals is to connect our students with, and expose them at a very young age to, this timeless and borderless conversation. FLL ROBOTICS TEAM transformed bold ideas into reality, earning patent recognition for two student-designed projects. Water

ROBOTICS INNOVATION

Heater Sensor System, helps families avoid costly repairs by detecting when sacrificial anode rods need replacement, a practical invention with everyday impact. Smart Classroom Door Lock, provides a simple yet powerful approach to enhancing school safety. These achievements are more than just technical wins.
