Fall is here!!!!!! We are heading into fall but don’t think we are done!!!! We have all kinds of stuff to do around St. Louis and the surrounding areas as the leaves begin to change... After such a hot and wet summer let’s hope we can break into this season, drier and with some beautiful riding and driving weather. A little about September as we say goodbye to summer. We started it off with our friend Angie being our cover model and coming out to support us at The Hideout for bike night and Big St. Charles bike night. We have had some great bike nights at both The Hideout and 21 Rock this month, but the weather has been hard on all of us here in Missouri... Big St. Charles was a fun night. We had a great turn out even though it was the same week as Bikefest. Hopefully you have seen the pictures from Bikini Coast International’s model search hosted by Belle Plew. They are on our Facebook page and are on page 24 of this issue. A huge shout out to our July 2025 Full Throttle Magazine Cover Model Amanda Ann who took home the Crown !!!!!!!!!! Let’s talk about Lake of the Ozarks BikeFest for a minute! Word is that there were over 150,000 motorcycles at this year’s 20th anniversary!!!! That’s just the motorcycles that apparently got counted !!!! We had an awesome time on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It was really hot 9 degrees both days and we almost melted down but it was well worth it. Saw so many close friends and we met a lot of new people. People are thinking this may be the new Sturgis Let’s get into October. The Rat-Run October 4th is what we wait for all summer long. It’s really the last big Bike event of the year . Next to Bikefest this is the second biggest bike event in our area, with Grafton Bike week pulling in a real close third... The Rat -Run is just an awesome day of events and people throughout our area. We start the day in South County and head to Shirley’s Bar & Grill at 94 & 370 where we will have a tent with Full Throttle merchandise from 8-12 on Sunday the 4th. Then we are heading to Longshots Rat-Run party in Portage Des Sioux for the rest of the day (They have events both days 3 & 4). Look them up online or look in the September issue of Full Throttle Magazine for their QR code. On the same day October 4th, as the Rat-Run. Bevo Mill is having a Bike and Car show from 9-3 30 Classes, Food/drinks/Biergarten, Raffles & Give Aways. It’s a family friendly event with our friends Hellen Back playing 11-2. Also, on October 4th !! Rockin The Rod Rumble Route 66 Car Show. Gates open at 11:00. Hotrods, Rat rods, Customs, Burnout Pit, Live Music, Food and Vendors, Family Fun, Kids Activities and Hayrides & more. Brookdale Farms 8004 Twin River Road Eureka Mo. The 18th Annual Ride for Wishes is on October 10th & 11th. Join Kim Graf, her staff and all the vendors as they put on this event that supports such a worthwhile cause. We will be there on Sunday shooting pictures of the ride 10:00 am -4:00 pm. Kickstands up @ 11:00. Location : Big St. Charles 3808 West Clay St. Don’t forget about Crusin Lindbergh on October 17th!!! It’s in So. County stretching from Hooters on Lindbergh to Ronnies Plaza. It’s roughly a 3-mile drive and it’s so very well attended that spectators start setting up lawn chairs around noon. Drive whatever you have and come and join us for the last huge cruise of the year. So, we have a lot more stuff going on this month, I’m just running out of room on this page. Check out our Cruisin Calendar and watch our Facebook page as more events get posted. Once again, we thank you for supporting Full Throttle Magazine Nick & Dina Full Throttle Magazine STL

Mike Woods 1951 Chevy “A rolling tribute to my best friend, my dad” Octobers Model: Sasha

Harley-Davidson and Realtree: Where the Open Road Meets the Outdoors The worlds of motorcycling and the outdoors have always shared a spirit of adventure. Both encourage people to leave familiar surroundings behind, explore new places, and embrace a sense of independence. In 2025, two brands closely associated with those ideas—Harley-Davidson and Realtree—brought those cultures together in a limited-edition collaboration called “Get Lost.” The partnership combines Harley-Davidson’s motorcycle heritage with Realtree’s instantly recognizable camouflage, creating a collection that connects the open road with the wilderness. The collaboration makes sense because both brands appeal to consumers who value outdoor experiences and personal expression. Instead of simply placing one company’s logo beside the other’s, the collection incorporates Realtree’s camouflage directly into Harley-Davidson-inspired clothing and accessories. The result is a visual combination of two distinctive American brand identities: the Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield and Realtree’s woodland-inspired camouflage.

THE “GET LOST” COLLECTION The first Harley-Davidson x Realtree collection officially launched in October 2025. Harley-Davidson described the capsule as a limited-edition apparel collaboration inspired by Realtree’s camouflage and Harley-Davidson’s “call to adventure.” The collection was designed to work in settings ranging from the outdoors to everyday life. At the center of the collection is Realtree APG camouflage. According to Harley-Davidson, the pattern incorporates visual elements associated with hardwoods, pine thickets, prairies, and river bottoms. Its relatively light and neutral color palette provides a backdrop for Harley-Davidson graphics and branding. The collection includes a variety of apparel rather than being limited to motorcycle equipment. Products have included long-sleeve shirts, jackets, hoodies, workwear-inspired pants, hats, bags, belts, and other accessories. The Harley Davidson x Realtree collection page presents the line as a limited-edition assortment for people who want to embrace an untamed outdoor aesthetic. One example is the H-D x Realtree APG canvas jacket. The jacket uses heavyweight cotton canvas, quilted insulation, a hood, multiple pockets, and Realtree graphics, while Harley-Davidson branding provides the motorcycle connection. These details demonstrate an important part of the collaboration: the companies are combining recognizable design elements while maintaining the practical, rugged character associated with outdoor clothing.

MORE THAN CAMOUFLAGE The appeal of the partnership goes beyond the appearance of camouflage. Both brands have developed identities around experiences rather than simply individual products. Harley-Davidson motorcycles are frequently associated with long distance riding, exploration, rallies, and a strong community culture. Realtree’s identity is similarly connected to outdoor recreation and spending time in natural environments. The launch itself reflected that philosophy. Harley-Davidson and Realtree officially introduced the collaboration at the Congregation Show in Charlotte, North Carolina, in October 2025. The event featured the collection alongside motorcycles, music, and a customized Harley-Davidson Pan America built with Realtree graphics and off-road-oriented equipment.

20 20

FullThrottle-Magazine FullThrottle-Magazine

The choice of the Pan America was particularly appropriate. Unlike Harley-Davidson’s traditional image of large touring and cruiser motorcycles, the Pan America is designed for adventure touring and travel beyond paved roads. Displaying a Realtree-themed Pan America at the collaboration’s launch connected the camouflage brand directly with one of Harley-Davidson’s motorcycles most closely associated with exploration.

THE PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES The collaboration was not limited to its original 2025 release. On September 16, 2026, Harley-Davidson and Realtree announced a second limited-edition collaboration, describing it as the next chapter in their partnership. The new collection expands the assortment with additional styles, including cargo pants, vests, work shirts, and other apparel and accessories. The second release demonstrates that the relationship has continued beyond a one-time capsule. Rather than abandoning the concept after the first collection, the companies have expanded it and continued to build on the combination of camouflage, outdoor utility, and Harley-Davidson styling. This evolution is also significant because it shows how the partnership can move between lifestyle clothing and motorcycle-oriented products. The original 2025 collection focused heavily on apparel and accessories intended for everyday and outdoor wear. The 2026 collection represents a further development of the concept, with reporting on the new assortment noting the introduction of motorcycle-oriented protective elements in at least part of the range.

Conclusion The Harley-Davidson and Realtree collaboration brings together two brands with different histories but overlapping ideas about freedom, adventure, and life outdoors. Harley-Davidson contributes its motorcycle heritage, distinctive graphics, and association with the open road. Realtree contributes decades of camouflage design and a strong connection to outdoor recreation. With a second collaboration announced in 2026, the partnership has developed into an ongoing relationship rather than a single seasonal experiment. For both brands, the collaboration provides a way to reach consumers who see motorcycling and outdoor recreation as complementary parts of an adventurous lifestyle. Ultimately, Harley-Davidson and Realtree meet at a common idea: the desire to get away from the ordinary. Whether that means following a motorcycle down an unfamiliar road or heading into the woods, both brands use their distinctive styles to celebrate exploration, individuality, and the freedom to “get lost.”

St. Louis native. Keith Snyder has been a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist and top-notch guitarist on the Midwest music scene for five decades, playing in multiple beloved St. Louis and Kansas City bands. After high-school bands (that did make it out of the garage!), Keith was hired as keyboard, sax and harp player in the early 80’s by up-and-coming rock band Kaution. Roles quickly changed once Keith strapped on his guitar! Often playing up to 100 gigs a year throughout the early to mid-80s in A-List clubs all over the St. Louis and surrounding areas, Keith honed his chops as a true entertainer. Then in 1988, an opportunity arose for Keith to replace the lead guitarist and play full time in The Backsliders, a national touring act based out of Lawrence Kansas. The band had been the backup band for The Spencer Davis Group as well as opening for bands like Cheap Trick and REO Speedwagon. The Backsliders flourished with Keith in the new lead role and secured a deal with Coors Light to represent their Midwest circuit (one of 7 bands chosen by Coors to cover the country). Along the way, Keith was able to meet many of his guitar heroes including Stevie Ray Vaughan and blues great Albert Collins and even played shows as lead guitarist for the legendary, Bo Diddley. Studio time and more opening acts, along with a grueling touring schedule, concluded when Keith and his wife Kathy found they were expecting their second daughter. After taking a few years off from the scene, Keith earned a spot in Blues Daddy. This five-piece band with dual lead guitars honored all the true blues guitar legends and gave Keith the opportunity to shine on some of his favorite music. From this band, St. louis favorite The Benders was formed with fellow Blues Daddy drummer and friend Tony Smith. Originally a four-piece project, the Benders eventually went to just three-piece, and Keith filled the gaps with his sax and harmonica. In 2018, he embarked on his most ambitious musical journey yet, mastering the amazing guitar technique of renowned guitarist, Jeff Beck. But plans to form a band capable of playing Beck’s music were cut short when Keith was diagnosed with multiple myeloma (a rare but terminal cancer) in early 2021. Keith underwent massive chemotherapy, radiation, spine surgery and a bone marrow transplant and was unable to play guitar throughout the remainder of that year. When Jeff Beck passed away early in 2022, with Keith still mending, he formed a stellar band with musicians in multiple states celebrating the music and legacy of the guitarist. Truth: A Jeff Beck Experience played several shows with incredible reactions, but the touring demands proved too much for him in his still fragile cancer state and the band had to fold. Realizing that a full band would be difficult to fully commit to, Keith decided the best approach was to go solo. Keith Snyder Live is his final swan song. In this arrangement, he plays his favorite songs from all the bands, along with new material each month. With a huge catalog of songs, you can expect to hear everything from guitar masters Stevie Ray, Jimi Hendrix and Jeff Beck to a wide variety of music from the 60s through the 90s. Keith is currently in remission and plays the first Saturday of each month from 3:00 – 6:00 at Stoogez, a great watering hole in Ballwin. Drop in to see him and say hello!

Tech Tips with Mac Mac!!!! !!!!

Harley Twincam and Milwaukee 8 Four part series By Mac, @Iron Motorcycle Performance

Part 2. Second Gen Twincam (2007-2018 except 2018 Touring) The “second generation” Twin Cam, commonly known as the Twin Cam 96 (introduced in 2007), is notorious for primary drive compensator failure, over-tightening automatic primary chain tensioners, and heat issues caused by lean EPA fuel mapping. Additionally, these models suffer from crankshaft runout and inner cam bearing wear. 2007 being the worst for excessive runout. In fact if you look at a 2005 manual and then a 2009 you will see Harley made their tolerance higher because they were so bad.

Compensator Issues The stock compensator (which absorbs drivetrain shock) is known to clunk, wear out prematurely, and sometimes break apart. We often upgrade them to a Darkhorse which removes the metal on metal and increases throttle resonance. Primary Chain Adjusters: The factory automatic primary chain adjuster is notorious for ratcheting too tight, causing premature wear on primary bearings. And in high Horse Power applications the shoe will break and cause catastrophic failure. The only real upgrade is to switch to a manual one. Crankshaft Runout: The move to pressed flywheels means these engines can develop excessive crank runout (wobble), particularly if heavily modified or lugged in low RPMs. High runout can destroy oil pumps and ruin the bottom end. As well as pistons and cylinders. Engine Heat: Factory lean tuning makes these bikes run incredibly hot, which degrades oil and makes riding uncomfortable. We often upgrade customers to a Thundermax which utilizes wideband 02’s to regulate air/fuel to a richer air-fuel mixture will significantly lower running temperatures. As well as add oil colors and fans to help control the heat. As always, thanks for taking the time to read the article. Look for part 3 next month, switching to the M8. If there is a topic you would like more info on, feel free to email us at Sales@IronMotorcyclePerformance.com and put “Tech Article” in the subject line. Mac
