24th JOJIMA SAKE FESTIVAL & BREWERY HOPPING The high quality waters of Chikugo River as well as the large grain rice and fragrant Hita cedars make Jojima an excellent place for brewing sake – and this event attracts approximately 110,000 people! The main venue is filled with attractions including stand-up bars, a taiko drum performance, a sake-themed folk song rendition, and food stalls. And don’t miss out on the limited edition sake from the eight participating breweries! Take the free shuttle bus between breweries and enjoy the scenery as you sip Jojima’s best sake!
How to enjoy
① Explore Jojima’s sake breweries! Sample some of the best sake that the breweries have to offer! Limited edition sake will also be on sale during the kurabiraki. Make sure to take in the local scenery too! ② Chill-out at the main venue! Sample Jojima sake at the stand-up bars or try some local delicacies from one of the many food stalls.

Kaku-uchi

The kaku-uchi (standing bars) are ideal for visitors who want to sample a wide variety of sake in an informal, relaxed setting. It’s also a great place to meet and chat with other people.
Okan Corner
(¥300/cup)
The taste and aroma of sake varies depending on temperature. Warmed sake (okan) is a very popular way to enjoy traditional Japanese rice wine.
Genki Nabe

Miso soup filled with tasty dumplings and locally sourced vegetables are on offer. A touch of Jojima sake draws out the flavor of the stock. *Limited portions available
