Celebrate women in your community Women’s Day, annually observed on March 8, is a day to honor and celebrate the achievements of women. Founded in 1908, Women’s Day is celebrated by giving flowers and other small gifts to mothers, daughters, sisters, grandmothers, aunts, friends, teachers and more. Today, the occasion is a national holiday in more than two dozen countries. A Women’s Day poster was included in the Spring/Summer POP Kit that arrived in December. Owens Flower Shop & Greenhouses Inc. Owens Flower Shop & Greenhouses Inc., located in Marietta, GA, has been a familyowned and operated business since 1953.
