Argentina

Take Your Travel Experience Further: The Hosted Trip Difference Unparalleled Service and Knowledge Every Step of the Way Dear Traveler, We cannot count how many times we have been to Argentina. It’s a beautiful country with a lot of life, culture, and also great fishing! Every time we have another trip the excitement always comes back. We are overwhelmed with the beautiful landscapes when we first get off the plane. This feeling only rapidly magnifies once we step foot at Pira Lodge, and Laguna Verde. Pira Lodge is unlike anything you’ve seen before. It’s the perfect mix of welcoming lodging and great fishing. Fishing for dorado at Pira Lodge is enthralling to say the least, there is something to say about these wild and acrobatic fish. Who are known as the “tigers of the river” for the way they hammer flies. Sight fishing for dorado in the crystal clear waters of Pira Lodge makes for a trip you will never forget. For this hosted trip experience, make sure to bring your 8-weight with a floating line. It has been a long awaited trip to Laguna Verde and we couldn’t be more thrilled you decided to join us. Once you sink your waders in the water you’ll never want to leave. The size of these rainbow trout sure do backup the Jurassic Lake name. There have been plenty of articles and stories to come out of Jurassic Lake because of the shear amount of large fish. We will be there to guide you in the right direction so you can have some incredible stories of your own for family and friends. The stories won’t stop there. You’ll be telling everyone about how incredible this lodge is. Pira Lodge is the perfect start to this hosted trip. Fishing for feisty dorado is a great segue into traveling to Laguna Verde to fish for behemoth rainbow trout. Tying this two destinations together into one Frontiers hosted trip makes for addicting fishing. When you’re not on the water you will be taken away by the sunrises and sunsets on the marsh, fine Malbec wine, and Argentine asados. Sincerely,

Barry & Cathy Beck

What to Expect • Fish for dorado among the wilds of Ibera for five full days at Pira Lodge. • At Estancia Laguna Verde, catch a trout of a lifetime with miles of secluded shoreline of the famous Lago Strobel (aka Jurassic Lake). • When not on the water, be taken away by the sunrises and sunsets, fine Argentine wines and asados.

About the Lodges

Pira Lodge: Located in Argentina’s Northern Province of Corrientes, Pira enjoys a tropical “Floridian” climate and is repeatedly labeled one of the world’s top guest accommodations by returning anglers. Surrounded by the vast 3-million acre Iberia Marsh, Pira affords anglers crystal-clear waters ideal for sightfish cruising dorado with top-water floating lines; a technique that produces explosive, heart-stopping strikes. Laguna Verde: The brontosaurus of rainbow trout inhabit the lakes and rivers of Estancia Laguna Verde and if you like to hunt for the big ones there is no better spot on earth. Fishing here in early and late season allow for behemoths New Zealand-style in the Barrancoso River and in the famous lake. Midseason fishing will find you wading the shallow bays and inlets for these cruising leviathans. Retire to the relaxed lodge; courteous staff and hearty meals rounding out this unique fishing adventure in this vast lonely region of Patagonia.
