Here’s what you do (please read carefully): 1. Contest runs until Dec 15th (11:59pm), 2007 2. Visit a minimum of 7 of the 13 ‘locations’, find the official Passport box, use the punch inside to validate your Adventure Passport at the corresponding number. You automatically qualify for the Adventure Bruce Eats Grand Prize. Your Adventure Passport is attached at the end of this guide. 3. Adventure Passport Stop #1 has become one of the icons on the Bruce Peninsula: the Candle Shop at Miller Lake. This famous-smelling shop has been in existence since 1966, and has developed a worldwide reputation for having high quality and unique candles. Stay awhile and see just how the candles are made.

ADVENTURE PASSPORT Stop #2 – Fen Boardwalk
OLIPHANT Located along the shores of Lake Huron, Adventure Passport Stop #2 is an open, grassy wetland that is home to various species of wild orchids, carnivorous plants, and a wide variety of wildlife. The boardwalk was built by the Owen Sound Field Naturalists, and contains various interpretive panels to learn about this unique ecosystem. Please stay on the boardwalk, as this wetland is extremely sensitive!

ADVENTURE PASSPORT Stop #3 – Flag Pole
SOUTHAMPTON Look up! Adventure Passport Stop #3 is located at the giant flag pole flying an enormous Canadian flag on the main street of Southampton. Home to three working lighthouses, Southampton is proud of its marine heritage. Here you can also find the Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre, the Southampton Art School, and a beautiful sand beach.

ADVENTURE PASSPORT Stop #4 – Ducks Unlimited Viewing Tower
MACGREGOR POINT PROVINCIAL PARK With MacGregor Point Provincial Park known as a migratory route for birds during spring and fall, the Ducks Unlimited Viewing Tower is a fantastic place to spot hundreds of different species. The park, located on the Lake Huron coast is also home to various species of wildlife. Look closely and you might see deer, beavers, or even a fox! Admission fees apply.

PAISLEY Adventure Passport Stop #5 is often referred to as the “Paisley Lighthouse”. It is actually a 19th century fire hose tower. Located near the Saugeen and Teeswater rivers, this beautifully restored historic building is an icon in the Village of Paisley.

ADVENTURE PASSPORT Stop #6 – Jumbo Beach Chairs
KINCARDINE Grab your swimsuits and sand buckets and spend the day at the beach! Climb up onto the JUMBO beach chairs at Station Beach, a.k.a. Adventure Passport Stop #6. The gentle slope makes it an ideal spot for the youngsters. The beach is located close to the main street, the harbour, and a playground.

ADVENTURE PASSPORT Stop #7 – Lewis/Lions Park
RIPLEY Located at the four corners is Adventure Passport Stop #7, Lewis/Lions Park. Ripley is also known as the ‘Hub of Huron’ as it is located almost in the centre of the Municipality of Huron-Kinloss. The local residents take a lot of pride in their village, just attend one of their celebrations and you’re sure to have a great time!

Adventure Stops The Hope Bay Adventure Stop was a wee bit tricky to find last year. So this year we thought weâ€™d add 6 all-new Adventure Stops just to keep things interesting. Find all 6 and you will be eligible to win the Adventure Bruce Snowshoes package (valued at $2000). You must get these 6 special punches to qualify. Use the clues on the next page to find the locations (go to www.explorethebruce.com for even more clues). Pay close attention. There may be detours. Bring a pen, water and always allow for sufficient daylight.
PASSPORT Adventure Stop #8 Clue:
Take a hike in the National Park on the Bruce Trail W of ‘Boulder Beach’ and the ‘Grotto’. The stop is ‘hanging’ around. Be prepared for a 1-3hr hike from head of trails. Admission fees apply.

Your stop can be found located at the ‘government dock’ in this cottage community that rhymes with ‘Tires’ on Georgian Bay.

Find the historical stone building located in Tara where you will find cell phones and your next stop.
