For the Love of Loyalty
I am a person who believes that they are no bad relationships unless they are in some way abusive

I can bullshit a conversation about relationships. We often as human beings can and get broken up in the Catholicism of the meaning of staying. The meaning of believing no matter what. The meaning of finishing what you started and whatever. We think we know what it takes to burrow through a relationship but find out we know nothing at all. Life is like that altogether, yet is it suppose to stop you from living.

As black men and women, we find ourselves hating each other or ultimately giving up on our bond that has taken hundreds of years to actually come together. One question comes to mind when I think about the issues our culture encounter. Actually it’s not a question, but a quote from a poet on a site that I frequent. "How can you stand right in front of the truth and not see it?" well, how can we? Everybody wants to weight in on relationship talk, including me, like we got the best insight from a fly on the wall prospective. The most obvious dereistic thing you can do is listen to your single friend guide you through a relationship. Especially if that person is in and out of relationships and is still bitter about it. But we do this anyway, we listen to others and the media and magazines that tell women they are people, value loyalty. This is not talking about nothing and men they will never be right. The kingmenship or glory, but it’s similar. But then biggest problem we allow ourselves to encounter again, what is loyalty? It has to be something with relationships is damage control and beyond sticking it out through the tough times. misunderstanding that what you see is what you get. Loyalty has to be more than dirty drawers and dishes and rebuilding. Loyalty is more than good How are you going to know something that you cooking, but is it more than love? Or is it love? have not seen? We’ve looked at relationships, both ours and other’s, but we haven’t really seen it. We Sometimes we mistake loyalty for love and it see familiar signs and run with that instead of makes us afraid. We’ve all been there where we’re accepting the fact that we are all different. We all either afraid to leave a relationship or too afraid to make similar decisions, but different choices. start it. Loyalty is simply faithfulness to commitment and obligations. family care about you and you care about your KPTMUSIC.COM family. That’s loyalty. And we as a black culture has stomped on that long enough. We hang on to these stigmas and stereotypes which perpetuate the root problem of why relationships are what they are for us today. We value the devalue of our people as if it’s the truth and it’s not. We also hang on to these liberations. Someone has to be the blame. Someone has to come and rescue us. Someone has to be the addiction. We live to find these godly signs, but we overlook them because it’s not what we want it to look like. Ultimately, in the end, we forget that love is an unconditional conditioned phenomenal phobic episode that kind of metamorphasize the way we look at and live life. The only sadder thing is we stay loyal to the wrong things. Ladies, there are good men out there and fellas, all women are not out for your money and sperm. Women want security and all we really want is a companion who is cool with what we're cool with, but do not over step the invisible boundaries we set up. Yes, that ties into the whole "good girl gone bad" gangsta boo chick. Sometimes it's good to be bad. That may be the only acceptable oxymoron in out society because it is evident through everything. Just find out what loyalty is for you and build a relationship around it. Not all relationships are meant to be a certain relationship. Maybe instead of lovers in some of our cases, it's best fit if we're friends. Still having a loyal bond to anyone is worth it. When are we going to get back to that? The Vulgarity Report

I can't tell you how many times I have looked back at something and said, man, why did I do that, or, if I had did this better, or how could I have let that happen. Having regrets serves no purpose other than helping us have a pity party for ourselves. Life goes on folks. Let's make this following year and decade a time of transformation. A time of change. The Chrismorale Experience By Balik Whack Writer/Poet/Author Mr. Chrismorale Villain is the feature this month and it’s nice to have a man of his talents being praised. This guy rivals the talents of our great CEO Dark Knyte with all the gidgets and gadgets and overall love for getting out to other people and having them express their voice and talents. This was a little more than just an interview per se, so I’m not going to follow the interview guidelines, which I rarely do anyway. When I caught up with Chris, we used the Ustream link to conduct the interview. We started off by trying to get to know Chris as Chrismorale. He chronicalized his life from his start at the age of 10 and jumping in to the many things we all find PHOTO COURTESY OF KPTMUSIC.COM ourselves doing. He found out what Hip Hop was for CHRISMORALE VILLAIN HOSTING HIS SHOW him and his friends and ran with it. He started out as a battle rapper and learned the hard way of the Once you invite them “basically” to take your heart, tricks of the trade of making beats and becoming a I realized instead of me trying to take somebody’s producer. Along his journey, we emphasized on respect and When we got to the subject of Hip Hop for real, it the aspect of it. Most people want the respect as a was really about the freedom. “If I wanted to wear form of intimidation. “The stronger man wins.” But my hat like this, Hip Hop says, “Yo, that’s ok. Do Chris opened my eyes to a whole different respect that!” That’s what Hip Hop culture has given me”. We all love Hip Hop and it will never go away. There that I knew about, but couldn’t always put it into words. The most common thing about respect that is still wonderful music out and Chris believes that. is often undermined is the respect of maturity. Chris As a person, Hip Hop made him realize that he was a gift. And it could also be reciprocated because went after that the most. Hip Hop was a gift to him as well. It’s a gift to us all and we are a gift to it. We get lost in the business We also got more in detail about fear and aspect of it and never maturely think about the intimidation. Fear is a dangerous thing. We seek cultural side of it beyond the clothes or art it fear sometimes and in return become fearful inspires. Other genres of music can generate the ourselves. “What happens that day when that person is not afraid of you anymore?” it takes a true same thing. “When people started learning that they artist, MC, writer, person to truly understand that. can make money off this, stuff got weird.” “Fear, personal wise, that person breathes the same air as me. There’s only two routes, “You want to be like you got everybody’s attention, what you going a quick pop, make a million dollars, get it sliced in to do now?” half, got $500,000 and owe a lot of that money to the people around you. Do you want that or do you Chris is an artist, producer, host, radio personality, want longevity, where you have more lanes and entrepreneur, partner and a slew of other things. You can find him on facebook, soundclick, MySpace, twitter, the We touched on Obama and what the first black man is everywhere. “I’m very accessible!!!” president did to him and his work. He was pretty much the same. I asked this question because with The Vulgarity Report all the turmoil and expectations of the black community and culture in the result of Obama being president, for some reason we look to our black people to step up like Obama did. Obama came like other great men has and people look up to him, but our mistake is that we wait for other people like him to speak for us. Chris doesn’t do that. He speaks for himself. “Anything can happen if you put your energy towards it and if you have enough people believing in you. And have them believe in you like you believe in yourself. Barack was that guy who said “hey, I’ma try extra hard to be something that no one has ever, ever had actually succeeded at doing.” A lot of people in our community don’t try extra hard like that. Some of us act like we don’t have to. We wait around for these rescuers to speak about the right rebellion when we hold the voice ourselves to left past anything. “We won, we won, we won, No, he won! My dream is to have a president that know what he is doing, black or white.” In essence of all of that, Chris, like Obama,

This country has our order is out of order? Haiti doesn’t need more treated their people like throwaways and it’s sad to money. Within the last 5 years, the United States say, but we have too. The media coverage has been horrid and unprofessional but we cannot see of America has given Haiti over $400 million dollars that because of our urge to know what’s going on, along in relief and preparations along with an what happened and how much money can we put embassy not only there, but in DC as well. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere in so we can say we did something. There’s a reason why I wanted to be the and quite possibly in the world. Each person may last to report on this. One, I have been busy with make less than $2 a day and though making little interviews on people going there to help, waiting over $7 billion in 2009, has only a combined $18 to hear from family or friends over there and just billion since 1990. to put out music to uplift the moods and spirits so we can do as much as we can. Remember, some wonderful people have come from Haiti, have relatives in Haiti or just inspired by all Haiti has had to offer. Harry Belafonte has ties in Haiti and Jamaica. Beautiful writer, Edwidge Danticat is from Haiti. Garcelle Beauvais, the beautiful actress also known as “Fancy” from the Jamie Foxx show, is from Haiti. We all know one, inspired be one, lived by one, whatever, this Haitian Diaspora is everywhere and now more than ever, they need us. We need to stop watching them scream from barbed wired fences and limbs hanging out between rocks. We need to be in these people’s lives and help them realize that they are just like us, human. Port-Au-Prince may be disrupted, but not destroyed. Neither is Haiti as a whole.
We should be more focused on seeing what immediate care we can give these people and track where our dollars go to help these people. Money The Vulgarity Report is a long term thing. Preparation takes years. Planning takes years. These people have days to live. It’s been reported that even after rescue from the rubble, these people are still in danger of dying if not treated carefully and consistently, which is not what’s going on over there. The media coverage shows the desperation and devastation, but how long can you run that before people get tired of it? Not tired as in we wish somebody will get this off my TV, but tired as in with all the effort and time we have put in, why are we still not helping these people. If you want to help, I consider you donate to the Red Cross. Do not, and I repeat, do not just give money. We have to do for these people what we did for the people of New Orleans. (Does anybody see the irony in all of this?) Please give food, water and supplies to the Red Cross. You can even get an address to where and when they are shipping and send it directly to them or directly to Haiti. There is added cost, of course, but that is the immediate help these people need.
