Dear Friends,
As we turn the page on another year, I am thrilled to present this edition of the Pepper Place Gift Guide. This guide is more than just a collection of beautiful things and places to dine—it's a celebration of our community, our local shop and restaurant owners, and the extraordinary talents that make Birmingham and Pepper Place truly unique.
Our vision for Pepper Place as a design district and regional destination began more than 30 years ago when we convinced a local designer to take a space on the ground floor of the Dr Pepper Building. Richard Tubb Interiors is our longeststanding business, and while Richard announced his retirement earlier this year, his influence on Pepper Place is undisputed. Today, our district is filled with businesses that reflect our vision, including interior design studios, architecture firms, artists, and shops dedicated to creating elegant interiors and homes.
In the new year, our design resources will expand as we introduce a new shop by Design Supply's Laura Vogtle. Stay tuned, but she is filling Richard's old space with an exciting new concept and helping us continue the tradition of fine home furnishings at Pepper Place that Richard began so many years ago. In addition, our team is planning a series of new events led by Sloss Real Estate's new Marketing and Design Director, Erin Letts. Through these events, we hope to inspire, engage, and bring our community together throughout the year.
Next year also marks the 25th anniversary of the Market at Pepper Place, a milestone we're looking forward to celebrating with Birmingham. Throughout the year, the Market has a slate of seasonal programming focused on making it stable and sustainable for the next 25 years. Be sure to follow the Market for more details.
