Context plan 1/4”=1’

The bathing space is for reflection, thought provocation, and meditation similar to the atmosphere of a gallery or museum. Akin to galleries, this space displays four unique objects which are not only interesting to the senses but also functional. Like in any galleries, the architecture of the space is used as a tool to enhance the purpose of the space, be it functional and spiritual.

THEIR IS NO DOOR. THE SPACE FEELS RAW AND QUIET BUT IS WELL LIT. LIGHT IS COMING OUT OF SOME OF THE CUTOUTS WHERE BLOCKS ARE MISSING. THERE IS FOUR OBJECTS IN THE ROOM, ALL HAVE DIFFERENT HEIGHTS AND THICKNESS. ONE SMOOTH MASS FORMS THE COUNTER TOP, TOILET WALLS AND TUB. THE MATERIAL FEELS HEAVY AND SMOOTH CONTRASTING THE RAW CMU BLOCKS. THE CONCRETE BENCH HAS A FEW TOWELS ON IT. THE BENCH, FLOOR AND BEAMS CONTINUE TO OUTSIDE. A SINGLE TREE IN FRONT OF TUB CREATES ENTERTAINING SHADOWS. THE CLOSET SEEMS TO FLOAT ABOVE THE GROUND, HOWEVER IT LOOKS HEAVY.
