White-collar workers in China frequently take the subway to go to work everyday. Particularly during peak time, each car of the subway is like cans filled with sardines. The white-collar workers look glamorous, but wear fake luxury clothes, carry fake bags, and pretend to be rich. Instead they frequently live monotonous day by day lives. They live in cans, and they believe that they can.

The people’s pressure comes from fast-paced city competition, spiritual oppression, self-oppression, urban population, external biases and age constraints. Modern people often choose entertainment to help them relax. In fact, most activities are similar. They will go to nightclubs, KTV and other entertainment venues to release the pressure where they drink, smoke, dance, party and think they are very happy when doing these things. One of the generic modern diseases is the mobile phone disease where everyone is obsessed with their phone. Mother and child will not talk face to face, the couple is just looking at cell phones and not looking at each other. This group of photos from the American photographer Eric Pickersgill called "Remove", where he removed the mobile phones from his photographs and find that we look like mental patients. The mobile phone is an invisible Can which confines us to a small world.
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT Workers take the subway to go to work everyday. They look at their phones on their trip every day, don’t talk too much, like lost souls. Particularly during peak time, each car of the subway is like cans filled with sardines. The white-collar workers look glamorous, but wear fake luxury clothes, carry fake bags, and pretend to be rich. Instead they frequently live monotonous day by day lives. They live in cans, and they believe that they can.

The use of colors which white-collar workers prefer such as gray lines, Khaki, Black, etc. This set of fabric will uses word games, which is a clever satire of vanity and other social phenomena. For example equating Fabulous and Fake. Based on the inspiration from the subway crowd, I made fabric out of inverted pleats.
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT People seems to be easily provoked just like the cola can which will break out simply when pulling the ring after shaking violently.

INTRODUCTION Anxious fashionable urban people are eager to break through urban civilization and have a dialogue with nature to restore their humanity. The rise of extreme sports is one way to meet this human need. The results of extreme sports show that the competition is brutal. ation.
I N S P I R AT I O N KEYWORDS:EXTREME/ MOVEMENT/FAITH/LIVE/COMPROMISES Now we have a lot of extreme sports: skateboarding, parkour, racing, motorcycle, windsurfing, bungee jumping, paragliding, surfing, and diving, etc. Life resides in this movement. This set of the series is to encourage today's young people, loyal to their own faith, to have a strong will and to not give up or make compromises, live in the moment.
CONCEPT&RESEARCH Urban people are eager to break through urban civilization and have a dialogue with nature to restore their humanity. The rise of extreme sports is one way to meet this human need. The results of extreme sports show that the competition is brutal. Modern people’s living rhythms is faster and faster, which increases the pressure of work and makes the living space smaller. The urban environment makes people overwhelmed. increasing stimulation will not be enough to satisfy people and they will need stronger and stronger stimulation.
RESEARCH&DEVELOPMENT Based on my observation of sailboarding and parachuting, I found that structure design played a vital role in sports equipment and emphasized the diversity of clothing construction. Also my name Feng Fan which, in Chinese, has a deep meaning of riding the wind and waves. This series is actually inspired by my name.
FA B R I C AT I O N & C O L O R I make extensive use of black and white colors, plus some exaggerated “British tones or fluorescent colors to highlight the dauntless young spirit.
DESIGN DEVELOPEMENT In extreme sports like surfing, skateboarding and parkour, the players need to turn 180 degrees or 360 degrees to complete an action. Inspired by this, I placed the prototype slices with different angles and positions and finally created a garment pattern.

INTRODUCTION My design idea comes from the Polar Regions. The Poles seems to be full of unknown things and magical creatures. Due to the greenhouse effect, glaciers have begun to melt, which may cause the land to flood and this series intends to arouse people's awareness of environmental protection.

RESEARCH&DEVELOPMENT I chose chiffon overlay. After the customary cut, I sewed it up piece by piece. I chose plastic protective film. After picking a fine color for the pigment, I took a syringe to create bubbles inside and fixed the liquid in place with tape.
RESEARCH&DEVELOPMENT I chose PVC plastic with acrylic paint on the surface making a gradient effect. Then I cut them down to become a block filled with scales, and sewed them onto the cloth.I chose cotton to fold and sew according to the design to achieve the effect I wanted. I then cut them into a bar shape one by one to ensure the shape of the waves.
The polar icebergs master their unique shapes, textures and their colors, which vary from white to blue due to the magic of nature. Therefore, I chose fabric accordingly and made full use of the icebergs’ textures in my design.

The inspiration design originates from my experiences with Japanese cuisine. Japanese cuisine has unique flavors and cooking methods with a long history which is very appealing to me.
Like dining in a restaurant, the serving order is subdivided into appetizers, soups, entrees and desserts. This series of clothing also incorporates some Japanese-style street food, especially sushi. This is a fusion of various Japanese food cultures.
DEVELOPMENT Firstly, I love Japanese food. Japanese food is exquisite and authentic, especially kaiseki. Kaiseki is a multicourse meal of intricate dishes. Kaiseki’s extreme emphasis on delicacy includes specific tableware, food placement, and courtyard design. It expresses the traditional Japanese culture, as works of art. Japanese cuisine conveys that people need to show control and resist greed.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT In my opinion, Japanese food is dainty with specific textures and colors. Also, the Japanese cuisine pays special attention to food placement to guarantee the favorable appearance of their dishes. Inspired by Japanese food, I worked out this series by watching the colors, shapes and placement of sushi.
