The Truth Project

“Do you really believe that what you believe is really real?” A recent study revealed that only 9 percent of professing Christians believe in absolute truth, so for many the question is “Is anything really real?” Nothing seems stable anymore. Do you ever feel that way? Well, if you attend “The Truth Project” you will leave this course with a greater grip on the Truth than ever before. Guaranteed!!! Can you answer: Who is God? Who is Man? Why did Jesus come to Earth? (You will be surprised by the answer to this question.) What is Truth? Why is there evil? Can we trust the Bible? What about science and the Bible? What is the Biblical perspective on government? And much more. The Church in America is losing the culture war because we as Christians are not equipped to answer these ultimate questions. “The Truth Project” is a new 13-part Focus on the Family DVD series taught by Dr. Del Tackett. Pilates/Esther: It’s Tough being a Woman by Beth Moore

This class has 20 minutes of physical toning and 90 minutes of DVD, discussion and prayer. Esther may have been a queen, but her life was not a fairy tale. An outsider, a foreigner, and an orphan, she found herself facing an evil plan to destroy her people. And you thought your life was hard! The Old Testament story of Esther is a profile in courage and contains many modern parallels for today’s overloaded and stressed woman. You can share Esther’s destiny – even if your glass slipper no longer seems to fit. Cost $15.00. February 4-April 1 9-11am Room 8114 Melissa Snowden and Barbie Gelabert, Facilitators

Breaking Free: The Journey, The Stories by Beth Moore

Beth Moore leads you through a study of the Scriptures to discover the transforming power of Christian freedom. Based on Isaiah 61:1-4, this in-depth Bible study draws parallels between the captive Israelites and today’s believers. Beth uses Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter how big or small. She explains that anything that hinders us from the benefits of knowing God is bondage. Breaking Free is Beth’s life message that she wants to share with you. First released in 1999, this updated version of Breaking Free includes 11 new video teaching messages taped live at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, along with re-edited Bible study content and testimonies of how women like you have found freedom and been delivered from their personal captivity. Cost $15.00. January 7-March 25 9-11am Room 7205 Charlotte Robertson, Facilitator

There will be review sessions available upon request for students who missed a Confirmation class. Two review sessions will be allowed per student. Parental involvement in the homework is necessary so that students can have the maximum benefit of spiritual growth. Homework must be checked off by both the parent and small group leader. Students will also be practicing one of the spiritual discipline tools (solitude/prayer, accountability, Bible memorization, tithing, Bible study) that will be provided by the Student Ministry.

Second Floor

Testimony T Students must write out their testimony and present it to their small group and the Student Ministry staff. They will have the opportunity to do this at the Confirmation Retreat. Baptism Students must be baptized. If they were baptized as an infant, that will fulfill this requirement. Any students who have not been baptized can contact the CRAVE Student Ministry office at 334495-6409, and we can assist you in this process.
