DRAGON’S DEN PROJECT THE POP UP MUSEUM THE EVENT WE PLANNED WAS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE TO COME AND DRESS UP IN COSTUME PROPS OF THEIR CHOICE AFTER WHICH WE COULD ANALYSE AND PRESENT THEM SUM UP OF THIER PERSONALITY THROUGH WHAT THEY HAVE CHOSEN. THE VISITORS WOULD GO AWAY WITH A CARD REMINDING THEM OF THE PROPS THEY CHOSE AND A LINK T OUR WEBSITE AND ALSO CARD THAT GIVES A SHORT ANALYSIS. PROMOTING THE EVENT TO PROMOTE OUR EVENT WE SCREEN PRINTED POSTERS WITH A RANGE OF CIRCUS PHRASES ON THEM. WE WANTED TO KEEP THE EVENT FAIRLY MYSTERIOUS BUT PRESENT SOMETHING TO WOULD ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO COME. THESE WERE PUT UP AROUND THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS.

TICK CARDS AND TRAIT CARDS THE TICK CARDS WERE GIVEN OUT TO CUSTOMERS TO HELP THEM KEEP A RECORD OF THE PROPS THEY CHOSE WHICH WOULD BE USED LATER ON WHEN THEY VISITED THE WEBSITE. I ILLUSTRATED EACH OF THE PROPS WE SOURCED FOR THE EVENT AND THE PATTERNS WERE CREATED IN ILLUSTRATOR BY ELLIE. EACH PATTERN IS MATCHED WITH THE CO-ORDINATING CIRCUS ACT AND SHORT SENTENCE OF A PERSONAILITY TRAIT.

Ringmaster Your dictator personality is one that is not always in your favour, rein it in and continue to be the social butterfly everyone looks forward to seeing.

Contortionist Your excessive limberness of the body is reflected in the nature of your persistent genorisity to those around you.

THE EVENT WE HELD OUR POP UP MUSEUM IN A ROOM. WE PUT UP POSTERS AND CHOSE TO USE CARDBOARD BOXES TO DISPLAY OUR PROPS AND REFRESHMENTS TO KEEP IT SIMPLE BUT THRIFTY LOOKING. A CAMERA WAS SET UP TO TAKE PHOTOS OF EACH PERSON WHO PARTICIPATED. THE PHOTOS WERE THEN PRINTED AND STUCK UP AROUND THE ROOM.

PRESENTATION DURING THE PRESENTATION TO THE DRAGONS WE HAD A SLIDE SHOW TO ASSIST US THEY PRESENTED A RANGE OF IMAGES ABOUT OUR IDEA. WE STARTED FROM THE BEGIN FROM THE WHAT WE DO, WHY WE DO IT TO THE EVENT TO WHAT HAPPENS AFTER AND THE WEBSITE WE MADE FOR OUR VISITORS.

A SHORT VIDEO OF THE EVENT ASWELL PRESENTING IMAGES WE ALSO PUT TOGETHER A SHORT VIDEO OF THE EVENT TO GIVE THE DRAGONS A BETTER IDEA OF WHAT TOOK PLACE.

TOPMAN BRIEF

THE DIRECTION I TOOK WITH THE TOPMAN BRIEF ‘SCIENCE MEETS FASHION’ WAS THROUGH LOOKING AS MICROSCOPIC IMAGES OF TEXTILES AND THE FIBERS THAT CREATE WHAT WE WEAR. I WAS PARTICULARLY ATTRACTED TO THE TEXTURES AND PATTERNS OF THE MICROSCOPIC FIBERS. I SAW POTENTIAL TO TURN THESE INTO INTERESTING VISUALS THAT COULD BE APPLIED TO A CAMPAIGN IN TOPMAN. AS TOPMAN FOR BEING INNOVATIVE AND INDIVIDUAL I WANTED TO STEER AWAY FROM THE OBVIOUS CONNOTATIONS OF SCIENCE. I WANTED THE VISUALS TO REMAIN ENIGMAS UNTIL YOU TOOK A PROPER LOOK INTO THE COLLECTION. I CREATED A SERIES OF PIECES THAT WOULD BE USED IN THE COLLECTION’S LAUNCH AS PROMOTIONAL AND AESTHETIC PURPOSES. I NAMED THE COLLECTION FIBER, GIVEN ITS RELEAVANCE AND TRIED TO COME UP WITH A SIMPLE YET MEMORABLE LOGO. I CHOSE THE TYPEFACE ‘SULLIVAN’ AS I FELT THE STRIPED IN THE BEVELED EDGES WERE APPROPRIATE. I CREATED A LOOK BOOK THAT HAS A RANGE OF IMAGES IN THAT HAVE BEEN MANIUPLATED AND EDITED TO CREATE A CONSISTENT FEEL ACROSS THE CAMPAIGN. I ALSO DESIGNED FLYERS, A CALENDAR AND A TOTE BAG THAT WOULD BE HANDED OUT TO BOTH PRESS AND CUSTOMERS TO GIVE THEM A TEASER ABOUT THE COLLECTION AN ENSURE THEY REMEMBER IT. CLOTHING TAGS WERE CREATED THAT WOULD HANG OFF EACH PIECE OF THE COLLECTION. EACH TAG TELLS A LITTLE INFOMATION ABOUT THE COLLECTION AND ITS INSPIRATION AND ALSO THE BACKGROUND AND HISTORY OF A PARTICULAR FIBER DEPENDING ON THE PIECE OF CLOTHING.
