Giovanni Rappazzo - DOVE E QUANDO NACQUE IL FILM SONORO
Giovanni Rappazzo (Messina, October 16, 1893 - Messina, April 3, 1995) was the inventor of sound film in 1914. In 1921 he filed a patent for the "film to contemporary impression of image and sound." A stroke of genius, from which then gave rise to the current realization of the sound film. His brilliant discovery, at that time, did not find any lender. So for lack of funds the patent expired and the idea of Rappazzo was revived and exploited in the USA.
