BRIEF We took Amid Cero9 as reference of architectural findings. In these findings, we researched in two of their projects: “Instituto libre de enseñanza” and Cherry Blossom Palace. We observed, we drew, we discuss, we tried to figure out what the explanations of these projects wanted to explain us, we discuss, we argue, but finally we found. “Project must go on”, and the amount of information about this project was absolutely overflowing. We reduce. We had to decide what was the most important aspects of the project and this decision was not easy due to the complexity of relationships between architectural elements and architectural strategies. Structure, layers, cherry blossom festivity, light filtering… we were going to transform the Cherry Blossom Palace ¿How to make a 125 000 m3 and a 1 000 m3 imitation of this project? We tried to conserve its essence but of course we had to transform it due to this its poly-faceted was not the same in one and in the other. The 50 x 50 x 50 m has very big structural plane faces as a shell, being carefully aware of the importance in this project that the faces were no triangles, but different polygons. But in the 10 x 10 x 10 m we could not make that because of the lack of space. ¿which was the response? To focus in the nerves. We were replicating the project but focusing in different aspect of its structure, forced by the dimension of the scale. Then, we were asked to make more complex the space of the inside. This reference is completely void (in architectural solid elements terms) inside, due to this we filled the inside having into consideration what was common space and what was private space But continuing experimenting it our reference we multiply several forms, the inside forms (cubes) and the outside shape (faceted shape), and finally because of the light, the weight, and the texture of the outsider shape we decided to convert it into a permeable layer in contrast of the stiffness and blindness of our reference. Finally, we had to hybridize. This was the last creation. House NA of Sou Fujimoto, with plenty of different elevated stages, crossing between them and all this inside multiplied shapes intersecting them. So, we kept the idea of closed ring platforms in order to have an infinite path inside them, the idea of multiplied shapes in order to complex space, the idea of plenty of different floors intersecting between them in projection. But, forced by the tessitura of the need of watching the inside of the model, we changed all the blind surfaces to surfaces that were permeable in visual terms, either we were forced to simplify the multiplied faceted shapes to cubic shapes achieving radicality.
