ALBA App

LBA is a German company which deals with environmental services and recycling. During a 7-days workshop, we have been asked to realise a mobile app that provides users a useful service, coherent with the company vision. At the same time, we had to find a way to strengthen the relationship between ALBA and its clients through the app itself. My work team developed an application fitting with the company vision, which at the same time can help users to increase their knowledge and their commitment to recycling. While other members of my team (journalism, marketing, economics students) took care of the launch event, Business Plan, etc. I have been asked to design the graphical interface.

Stockhausen al servizio dell’imperialismo

Laboratorio di Sintesi Prof. Mario Piazza, Luca Pitoni, Marco Pea Politecnico di Milano

N

ew edition of the essay Stockhausen serves Imperialism, a polemic play about the relation between music and politics written during the Seventies by the composer Cornelius Cardew. This is a visual book, which means that the content of the book is the same as the original one, but new visual elements have been added, in order to lead the reader into different levels of comprehension of the text. In this particular case inside the book it has been added a photographic gallery representing musicians and singers who tried to change the world with their music. The aim was to give the reader a chance to know social problems and political injustices around the world through songs and plays made by the protagonists of the photos.

raphic design of my bachelor thesis, in which I explained the work path done on the new edition of Stockhausen serves Imperialism, from the research for information to the practical realisation of the project. I tried to realise a volume fit for its didactic purpose, stylistically different from the main book and a sober but not boring layout.

uring the workshop participants realised A4 posters, designed starting from a personal, individual reflection about the same theme: cities (the city of the future, the ideal city, small cities vs big cities‌) The aim was to experiment the power of (two-colour) risograph printing. Then all the works have been put together in a single fan-zine.
