I think coming from a small town makes you dream big, but I also had the drive and entrepreneurial spirit from a very young age. You started out on the retail floor. What qualities have helped you get to this point in your career? Being confident, assertive, driven, disciplined, and motivated! You launched both Style Nine to Five and Beauty Nine to Five with great success. Did you ever have moments of doubt? I went into this with confidence because of my job

flexibility in my daily schedule, and seeing the results of an idea coming to life. I love hearing testimonials from jobs seekers and employers, and also loved creating my Nine to Five team—that comes from managing a staff of 20 when I was a store manager. from that position that you continue to apply today? Oh yes, all of the skills I have today came from my retail career. From a sales associate to eventually becoming the store manager I learned a sense of urgency and quick problem solving skills, how to delegate and multi-task, be a mentor, lead by example, how to put the customer first and how to keep them happy by going above and beyond. Most of the time it's the customer’s experience that brings them back.
