COVER GIRL How long were you writing your blog The Doctor’s Closet before you took the leap to pursuing a career in fashion?

"I REALLY NEEDED TO DISCOVER WHAT I LOVED DOING ON AN EVERYDAY BASIS; WHAT MAKES ME WANT TO WORK LONGER HOURS AND STILL LOVE THE JOB."

There was no real time frame really. When I started the blog I was purely putting my time into a part of my life that I didn't have to stress over. Once I started blogging about what I loved, I started to gain a lot of followers. Probably around the three-month mark I had many different people and companies contacting me to take part in some amazing fashion projects, which led to where I am today! Have you always loved style and design? YES! Even being the science geek that I was, I always had an eye for fashion and loved seeking out new trends and styles! I would say it kept me sane... showing up to class in sweat pants was NEVER an option for me. I was taught to always look presentable and stylish. What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced since shifting your focus to fashion? Believing in what I really love doing and find interest in. That being said, I have a ton of interests and love everything from learning about the human body to what is going on at Fashion Week. But I really needed to discover what I loved doing
