MISSION To provide our guests a memorable stay while being an environmentally responsible group.
VISION We aim to make a true positive impact on the planet while achieving to be the first energy self sufficient group in Madeira island.
Four Views Hotels are composed by three 4 stars Hotels. Four Views Monumental, Four Views Baía and Four Views Oásis. Located on the beautiful Island called Madeira. Being that, Monumental and BaÍa are located in the city of Funchal and Oásis at Caniço village. Each one of our Hotels provide a unique, new and fresh design. Regardless of the differences in architecture they carry the same goals.
Four Views Monumental opened its doors to the public in 1990, it is situated in one of the busiest tourist areas in Funchal. The hotel has 11 floors, 168 double rooms, 32 apartments and 62 studios all of them featuring a balcony and great views of our Island whether being mountain or sea views. The surroundings of the Hotel are what most guests look for in a nicely situated Hotel: beaches, supermarkets, bars, Shopping Centers, gardens and other touristic points. Four Views Baía, where comfort meets chic and fine décor is our newest acquisition in the year of 2009, providing us with one of the most fantastic views of Funchal City and its Bay. Whether you are looking for a great view of the mountain or the sea you will certainly find it here. It offers 231 bedrooms and 30 apartments spread over 9 floors. Four Views Oásis is located in a privileged area in the village of Caniço, embracing the sea, where you can enjoy a relaxing vacation and escape the busy life of the big cities. The Hotel provides 7 floors with 224 rooms in total. Oásis has been given an uplift this year in order to give our dear guests a fresh look and a more up-to-date design.

2020 was a challenging year for everyone, a year that came to change everything and test all foundations. We are proud to say that in spite of all adversities the Four Views team managed to embrace all this change and turn it for the better with innovative and different ideas. Our main goal is to reduce our footprint and be a more sustainable organization, one that people can feel encouraged and inspired by to do the same in their households. One of the most challenging issues is to change peopleÂ´s habits, but we aim to tackle this matter with imaginative and creative approaches such as showing our staff at our trainings, short videos of how I try to contribute to diminish my footprint. By having a compost bin which we own one at Four Views Oasis since early this year, using beeswax wrapping avoiding the use of plastics altogether, homemade toothpaste, the examples are endless.
MINDS TIAGO OLIVEIRA ( E N V I R O N M E N TA L M A N AG E R ) This year completely changed the whole Economic structure and the World Hotel Industry. So many adversities that crossed our paths and made this year challenging in our daily lives. Low revenues, the closure of hotels for much of the year and other general circumstances related to the near-stopping economy in which we live, were the ingredients for the cocktail of a total transformation of the overall operation within our Hotels. In these months, we had to recreate and rethink recovery and survival strategies both financially and commercially, so that we could face all these obstacles. Despite all these we made through the year with imaginative greener solutions which proved that our team is effectively a winning team and capable of facing the worst possible scenarios. In all that involves the Environmental Management of Four Views Hotels, I have and want to leave a special thank you to each of our staff for their effort and for believing that we can overcome all situations, however adverse they may be.
GREEN NINA PEREIRA (PROJECT DEVELOPER)
Since forever I remember wanting to do more not only for our planet but also for everyone around me. I started by changing my lifestyle and becoming a vegetarian I knew that by doing this I would be helping the environment and reducing my footprint drastically. It has been one of my priorities showing that we can all make big changes in the world with small steps on our daily routine like reducing our intake of meat and fish, recycling, using recycled bottles of water, abolishing plastic on our lives or at least try. These steps not only will help the environment, but will also give back to our planet the respect and love that it urgently needs.
MINDS PEDRO BRAZĂƒO (HEAD MAINTENANCE MANAGER)
In the 6 years IÂ´ve worked for the group Four Views Hotels, I have managed to apply more efficient management controls and techniques in order to reduce the usage of non-renewable energy. We are trying to show that it is possible to be efficient without non-renewable resources. With time, we have managed not only to be a sustainable group but also doing so successfully.

FOR BIG CHANGES 2020 FOUR VIEWS OĂ SIS Installation of 2 chillers with heat pump, without using fluorinated gases (using 1234ZE, green gas); Installation of a new industrial refrigeration plant, with CO2 compressors without fluorinated gases, much more energy efficient (in addition to using heat recovery for hot water and swimming pool); Installation of a tank for greywater reuse (rainwater from the outdoor swimming pool solarium, water from swimming pool showers, water from indoor swimming pool filter washers), for irrigation and toilets, in addition to the spring water that already exists.

GREEN S TAY Aiming to be greener and more sustainable everyday, we embraced and implemented a number of measures at our hotels. Smaller but still impactful steps such as using biodegradable spoons, using dispensers in the bathrooms, promoting single use of pool towels per guest and also encouraging our guests to join our no-cleaning movement on the bedrooms to reduce water and chemicals usage. The year 2020 also made room for improvement in communication and sustainability. Instead of giving all our guests flyers with the hotels information, we opted to gather all that content in an app. This not only made us reduce our paper waste but also reducing the spread of viruses and bacteria. Bigger measures on the other hand takes years of planning and implementing, but are the ones that truly will make an enormous difference in the years to come. These measures include solar panels, new chillers, water flow reducers, a new electric car charging station and adopting a domotics system at our hotels. All these changes were made not only to reduce the groupâ€™s footprint but also to bring awareness to our guests and coworkers by showing how simple actions can make a huge difference for a better world.

From march 2018 to march 2019 the group has reduced 94.649 sheets of paper in total. This is due to the fact that the reservations department stopped using paper, and also the transition of communication of the group from mostly paper to now digital has made a huge impact. We predict to continue this reduction by 2021. 19
