Wildlife Refuge as well as Mountain View and East Frazee trails. ICE IS NICE Enjoy two outdoor hockey rinks and one ice skating rink, a warming house and gazebo in People’s Park or open skating at the Kent Freeman Sports Arena. You’re invited to watch bonspiels at the Lakes Curling Club and see hockey action at the Sports Arena. FISH A FROZEN LAKE If you think fishing in the summer is fun, try ice fishing in the winter!

Come to lakes country and you’ll see it’s a Minnesota passion. Both angling and spearing are popular ways to catch fish. Call the Chamber to find out about fish house rentals and the Rotary’s Poles N Holes Fishing Derby in February. JOIN POLAR FEST Each February, more than a week of events lure you outside to embrace winter during Polar Fest. Take a polar plunge into the lake, run a frosty 5K and catch the brilliant fireworks display from the public beach.
