"Music makes the world go 'round, that's why it spins like a record." 2
ď‚— David "DC" Yeager is an ideal example
of how passion can lead to success. Born in Youngstown, Ohio, DC spent most of his teenage years singing at nightclubs and showcase events. While most teenagers struggled with homework and growing pains, DC sang to his friends and family. In an interview with ConcreteLoop.com, DC said that by 16 years old, he knew he was going to be a singer.
ď‚— Drawing from the influences of Brian
McKnight, Boyz II Men, Jodeci, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Shai and Babyface, and years of hard work, DC eventually scored a record deal with his group "Youngstown." The group went on to release two albums under Hollywood Records, with several songs featured on major motion picture soundtracks, including The Princess Diaries and Inspector Gadget. After several national and world tours, with artists that included Christina Aguilera and Destiny's Child, the group disbanded. It was then that DC began to pursue a solo career. "Every moment is a turning point for me. You learn a great deal about yourself from every experience, both good and bad," DC says. 4
ď‚— DC has since been honing his craft, writing,
recording and producing with many successful music artists in today's industry. He collectively wrote and recorded a solo EP with Grammy award-winning singer/songwriter Ne-Yo. "Co-writing with Shaffer always seems to bring the best out of me. I'm fortunate to say I have worked with such talent." ď‚— Production duties for the album also included the likes of Poli Paul (Brandy, Christina Milian, Omarion), The Insomniax (JoJo, Bobby Valentino, Boyz II Men) and Norwegian newcomers, BigCity. His most recent masterpiece, Throw It Away, was featured on a bonus track for the R&B artist Charlie Wilson.

“My goal with my music is to have
people listen to my album and say…’that’s an amazing album.’ I want my music to be a timeless classic. Something that can be enjoyed twenty years from now.” – DC Yeager 8
