2019 COVER ARTIST: TARA YOUNG Hi, I’m Tara Young. I was always interested in arts, crafts and drawing from a young age, which lead me to enter into the art programs at Laurier SS and HB Beal SS. I continued my education at Sheridan college, and have since worked for some local video game studios. I did this piece because I wanted to keep a copy so that my daughter would someday be able to see the cover I did. So I could encourage her to try out new things, and be proud of what she can do. The inspiration for my design for the cover came from a beautiful sunset seen when walking home from swimming with my daughter. I added the downtown skyline as the scenery, which I felt matched best with the clouds, and allowed for a nice flying pose. You can find more of my work at Twitter.com/XiroXyth

Attention artists! With the new event date this year, there was not enough time to run an official cover contest. Tara’s cover was selected from last year’s 2018 Cover Contest finalists: watch for the cover contest to return to Forest City ComiCon in 2020!
