Test Manager Would you like to manage one of the most complex and challenging test regimes in Europe?
You will head the testing of the Signalling Programme in Rail Net Denmark which is a EUR 2,4 billion programme renewing all Danish railway signalling technology. The new system is based on the ERTMS which is being implemented across Europe. In order to ensure uniform system interfaces and high reliability, the functionalities of the systems and the system as such need to be tested correctly and thoroughly by all participating suppliers. Planning SW tests at a strategic and operational level As our Test Manager, you develop the overall Programme Test Strategy and Test Iteration Plan including configuration control, test execution schedule and risk assessment. Included is also monitoring of defect rates, regressions tests, FAT, SAT etc. You also ensure tests of the integration between Train Control and Railway Trackside systems and GSM-Railway Network. Parts of the systems are Safety Critical and the complete system is to be approved by National Safety Authorities in cooperation with our suppliers. You implement this strategy internally and towards our suppliers and you ensure coherence between all projects. This entails evaluating the suppliers’ plans and strategies as well as their specifications and test scenarios. You are responsible for assessing and inspecting the suppliers’ test executing and their coverage, just as you will collect evidence for system and safety approvals. The challenge in this position is to maintain an overview while making 4 suppliers deliver tests that match existing and new systems. Solid software tests & commissioning experience You probably hold a master’s degree within electronics, electro mechanics, mechanics or computer science with focus on software. You hold a test management certification (ISTQB or similar) and have many years’ systematic test management experience as well as experience in V model testing and software tests & commissioning. In understanding the nature of tests, data communication, standards, practises and system integration, you are aware of the importance of software maturity. Further, you are able to understand standards and specifications for complex railway systems, and you quickly gain an overview of complex railway and data communication systems. Being part of an international organisation, you speak and write English unhindered. Always scanning for potential problems you can turn into solutions By nature, you see possibilities when challenges need to be surmounted, and you thrive when you are responsible for overcoming these hurdles. You are results oriented and a good decision maker. Moreover, you are open-minded and a good communicator in your daily cooperation with numerous colleagues and suppliers. As you are responsible for day to day management of testing and commissioning projects and for ensuring that all projects are coordinated and delivered to standards and procedures, you work structured and independently.
