Residents of Presbyterian Village North (PVN) came together on Thursday, May 9, to commemorate Home Front Heroes Day, an occasion dedicated to honoring the unsung heroes of the home front during World War II and beyond. This year, PVN residents embraced their roles as modern-day Home Front Heroes by devoting time to writing letters of encouragement and appreciation to deployed members of the Armed Services. The Finnertys’ path to The Outlook at Windhaven (OAW) is a bit different from most of its VIPs. They are not from, nor do they currently reside in the Plano area. Originally from New York, Carol and John have lived in Estero, Florida, for more than twenty years. Though they had not planned on deciding upon a retirement community so soon, they reserved an apartment home at OAW and are very excited! Read more

On Saturday, May 4, the residents of Presbyterian Village North held the community’s first disc golf tournament! Disc golf is a game where players throw a disc into a series of baskets or targets in as few throws as possible, combining elements of traditional golf with the fun and accessibility of throwing a frisbee. This temporary course was set up on campus on the spacious lawn. Read more.
