Peter Hunt is a Chicagoland native who has been a Wisconsin-based actor/director, as well as a producer of the Bricks Theatre, for the last several years. His favorite stage roles include: Ben in The Mercy Seat and Roy in Lone Star (The Bricks Theatre); Katurian in The Pillowman and Richard Loeb in Never the Sinner (Mercury Players Theatre); and Father Flynn in Doubt: A Parable (Strollers Theatre). Recent directing credits are: The Zoo Story, True West, and Blackbird, all with the Bricks Theatre. This winter, Peter will make his full-length film debut in Dead of the Night (Barking Shadow Productions), which will have its world premiere at Sundance Cinemas in Madison. 2011 marks Mr. Hunt’s third year running as Crumpet in The Santaland Diaries. 2 The Bricks Theatre

George Gonzalez (Director), a New York City native, has worked as an actor, playwright, director, and producer, served on the Mercury Players Theatre Board of Directors 04/05, Co- Produced the 2009 Madison Young Playwrights Festival, Served as a Teaching Artist for the 2010/2011 Madison Young Playwrights Festival, produced by The Children’s Theatre of Madison. He has had the pleasure of performing with local theatre companies; Madison Repertory Theatre, Stage Q, Mercury Players, and Madison Theatre Guild. In 2004 he served as Audience Services manager and later Marketing Director for Madison Repertory Theatre until the company closed in February of 2009. Gonzalez currently serves as a member on the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission


T H E C O M PA N Y and is the Co-Founder/Partner and Producer for Bricks Creative LLC and The Bricks Theatre. Alan Talaga (Comedian) goes around to different places and tells jokes. As a stand-up comedian, Alan has made audiences laugh with bits that range from progressive political rants to silly puns. He has opened for such national comedians as Paul F Tompkins & Michael Ian Black, however, this is his first time opening for a play. In addition to stand-up comedy, Alan also writes and stars as Dan Potacke in The Dan Potacke Show, a regular comedy/variety show which will celebrate its 3rd anniversary in February. Alan also cowrites Off the Square, a weekly political cartoon for the alternative weekly newspaper Isthmus. Finally, Alan would like to thank his parents, his best friend Mallory and all the kittens of the world for their support. Jenni Schwaner Ladd (Costume Designer) has designed, constructed, or otherwise wrangled costumes for 17 years (and counting). She has worked for Irish Repertory of Chicago, Lookingglass Theatre/Chicago, and Four Seasons Theatre, and toured with Reduced Shakespeare Company and Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. Currently, she is the touring wardrobe supervisor for Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, assistant costume supervisor for Madison Opera, and costume assistant for Madison Ballet. Jenni holds an MA in Theatre History and an MFA in Costume Design from the University of Illinois-Urbana. David Sedaris (Author) is the author of Barrel Fever and Holidays on Ice, as well as collections of personal essays, Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim, and When You Are Engulfed in Flames, each of which became a bestseller. There are a total of seven million copies of his books in print and they have been

translated into 25 languages. He was the editor of Children Playing Before a Statue of Hercules: An Anthology of Outstanding Stories. Sedaris’s pieces appear regularly in The New Yorker and have twice been included in “The Best American Essays.” His newest book, a collection of fables entitled Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary (with illustrations by Ian Falconer) was just released this past September. He and his sister, Amy Sedaris, have collaborated under the name “The Talent Family” and have written half-a-dozen plays which have been produced at La Mama, Lincoln Center, and The Drama Department in New York City. These plays include Stump the Host, Stitches, One Woman Shoe, which received an Obie Award, Incident at Cobbler’s Knob, and The Book of Liz, which was published in book form by Dramatists Play Service. David Sedaris’s original radio pieces can often be heard on This American Life, distributed nationally by Public Radio International and produced by WBEZ. David Sedaris has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album. His most recent live album is David Sedaris: Live For Your Listening Pleasure (November 2009). Joe Mantello (Playwright) Mantello was born in Rockford, Illinois and studied at the North Carolina School of the Arts and started the Edge Theater in New York City with actress MaryLouise Parker and writer Peter Hedges. He is a member of the Naked Angels theater company and an associate artist at the Roundabout Theatre Company. Mantello directs a variety of theatre works, moving from a twohander like Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune to the huge canvas of a mainstream musical comedy like Wicked, from downtown stand-up (The Santaland Diaries) to contemporary opera (Dead Man Walking) to political performance art (The Vagina Monologues).
