ART AROUND TOWN
The artwork of local artist Roy Adams is on display at the Bruton Memorial Library until August 31. The display, titled “10-year Retrospective,” includes collages, 4-by-5 foot acrylic paintings, and photography of iconic Plant City landmarks. Adams wants the public to see his art through various mediums and many of the pieces have never before been exhibited for the public. Be sure to check out the collection during library hours and to see more of Adams’ work, visit his website www.printmaker.mysite.com.

The new owners have been successful business owners for 18 years and felt that it was time to expand their entrepreneur skills. They loved SunKissed Tanning and Spa and decided to purchase the business to continue to grow their portfolio. Come visit the new owners and wish them the best of luck to continue to support our community businesses.
LET’S READ, PLANT CITY!
GFWC Junior Woman’s Club of Plant City has created a free little library. Two boxes are located at the Boys & Girls Club of Plant City where residents can now take a book and leave a book to help promote literacy within our community, while making reading accessible to everyone. The libraries are housed within boxes donated by FOCUS Magazine and painted by the Juniors. The project was made possible by Delicia Hargrove of BGCPC and Education CSP Chair Erika.
Mike Goodwin, owner of Plant City’s O’Brien’s Irish Pub, is now the franchisee of five locations of Bubbakoo’s Burritos. The New Jersey-based eatery offers Mexican cuisine fused with American flavor, including Buffalo Chicken or Sweet Chili Shrimp. The five restaurants will be located throughout Tampa, according to a Facebook post by the brand on June 30. Congratulations to Mike! PAGE
