Masterpiece Framing We have a new and exciting exhibition for the month of July, featuring all new local artists. Come along and show your support for the great talent from around our region. The exhibition will be open Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, Saturday 9am - 2pm, and Sunday 10am - 1pm. The following artists will be on exhibition during July. • Ruth Bergin, Jane Wright, Raymond Walsh and Colleen Palmer – using a range of mixed mediums to create beautiful artworks. • Dorothy Taylor and Wendy Granquist – specialising in rich oils. • Jen Dethlefs and Harlod Le Jeune – using gentle watercolours. • Jill Cairns and Terri Maddock -–showcasing their works through soft pastels. • Maureen Hales – brings her works to life with acrylics. • Al Grieve – showing his love of acrylics and watercolour mediums. South Solitary Island is located 18 km offshore, north east from Coffs Harbour, NSW. The island contains a Lighthouse, Head Keeper’s Quarters and two Assistant Keepers’ Quarters which were built in 1880 and are considered the oldest in the area. The Lighthouse was automated in 1975, with all residents leaving, and the remote Lightstation was abandoned. Access is only available by helicopter, and public admittance is restricted by National Parks and Wildlife. National Parks and Wildlife open the island to visitors for guided tours of the buildings for just two weekends each year. This July join Precision Helicopters for your return helicopter flight along the Coffs Coast and interpretive guided tour on the island by NPWS Discovery Rangers. The Superior Lightstation Tour ($360.00) is one hour while the Premium Lightstation Tour ($490.00) is two hours and gives you extra time to discover more of the island with the Rangers.
