This month we will embark on a 30-day-long adventure called the 30-Day Church Challenge. It is an adventure of learning, growing and fellowship. Each week between July 14 and August 18, we will focus on one of five purposes of the church: community, worship, spiritual growth, stewardship and outreach. Jeanne and I will be preaching on one of these purposes each Sunday. In addition, I want to encourage you to purchase a 30-Day Church Challenge daily devotional. They are available through the church office for $8. (Please order yours today!) The readings for each day are brief, but there are also short personal reflections, a prayer and a journal prompt to enrich your learning. On Sunday, July 7th, we will have the opportunity to make a 30-bead bracelet to wear to remind us to be faithful to the 30-Day Church Challenge, and it may even spark some conversation. Finally, there are also several “Challenge Groups” that will meet for a fun activity, food and conversation about each of the themes. Don’t let the word “challenge” intimidate you. These are not classes or extreme sports, but an opportunity to further reflect on the themes while making new friendships or deepening existing friendships. There are groups for youth, young adults, singles, families and adults. They meet at different times and days during the 30-Day Church Challenge, so you are sure to find one that will fit your schedule and interests. You can call the church office for more info, or sign up on July 7th. I want to encourage all of us to fully participate in the 30-Day Church Challenge. It is not only an opportunity to learn, grow and fellowship together, but it is an opportunity to know Christ better, to share Christ with others and to emulate Christ in every corner of our lives. I look forward to sharing this adventure with you And, as always… I am proud to be With you on the journey,

July 14 - August 18 F
