Iguazú, Misiones, August 2017. Dear SILQCOM members, friends and colleagues: On behalf of the SILQCOM 2017 Organizing Committee and the Permanent International Committee of SILQCOM, it is our great pleasure to welcome you all to our 6th Symposium held in Puerto Iguazú, Misiones, Argentina. Since the first edition in Bogotá in 2007, this symposium has been held biannually in Latin America and displays an ever-increasing international profile. SILQCOM was created by a group of scientists of the area who felt that it was important to have our own meeting in order to promote the development of Coordination Chemistry and Organometallic and related fields with regional interests. In 2017 SILQCOM is running also as HK-GLASOCC thanks to the support of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. In every edition, the relaxed atmosphere and the pleasant venue of the meeting, in this opportunity the city of the amazing Iguazú Falls, favors the exchange of information and ideas for potential research collaborations, ideals that we expect will be fulfilled in 2017 as well. We want to thank specially the invited speakers who have traveled long distances to share their recent discoveries and all participants for joining us. Finally, we bring special thanks to sponsors that have supported this 6th SILQCOM. Welcome all and enjoy the meeting!

Fabio Doctorovich and Florencia Di Salvo (chair and vice-chair SILQCOM6)
