Searching for cost‐effective solutions to maintain your hard to reach lighting?
In our experience, churches tend to have four main issues with their lighting:
I. Purchasing II. Accessibility III. Cost of Operation IV. Heat
At Fitzgerald Lighting & Maintenance, we have the experience to offer you solutions to these and other issues. When standard light bulbs need replacement, many churches utilize staff time to drive to hardware stores or electrical supply houses where you pay top dollar for options that may or may not be the right solution for your project. Let us help you save your valuable time and money by developing a stocking and/or delivery system that fits your needs and budget Whether you do these repairs in house or hire us, we want to be your one stop, for all your lighting and electrical needs.
We have invested in specialized lightweight equipment nicknamed “Spider Lifts” from Germany that have the unique ability to travel through single and double doorways to reach heights of 100’ all while being extremely light weight enough to bring into your sanctuary or other unique areas. With these lifts we take extreme precautions to move and cover pews when needed to ensure your sanctuary is respected during a project. While inside your sanctuary, our staff can also help you with the dusting, vacuuming, cleaning of windows, etc. that are typically “swept under the rug” due to the costly and time consuming nature of this accessibility. Let us help you put a cost effective program in place to keep your lighting working at all times while also helping you to easily budget for routine maintenance to keep your church looking like new at all times.
Energy costs will always rise, but at what rate? This is hard to determine, but we do know that Nuclear Power Plants are expensive to build and to prevent building more, energy costs may be inflated to pressure people to conserve energy. Incentive plans exist so that power users will retrofit lighting systems to more energy efficient systems thus allowing for more users on the existing electrical infrastructure. Fortunately, there are systems such as Fluorescent, Induction, and LED which can be utilized in sanctuaries, office areas or gymnasiums. Many of these technologies use 50% less energy to help you control your energy costs and can provide life expectancy of up to 100,000 hours to minimize your service costs.
With these new light sources also comes reduced heat which then reduces the amount of air conditioning needed, thus increasing your energy savings. Let the professionals at Fitzgerald Lighting help you navigate these issues. Whether you want to properly maintain an existing system or upgrade an existing system our professionals can help with all aspects of the project. Our services are done by in house technicians which utilize the best materials for each specific project. When it comes to offering solutions, we are not bound by any one product and will only recommend products that truly are the solution for your specific project. Due to recent legislation, the government has mandated some standard bulbs out of existence in the near future. Right now, ComEd customers can take advantage of incentives to improve the energy efficiency of their lighting. A simple bulb swap or a fixture retrofit will allow your existing fixtures to be used much more efficiently. Energy savings is quite often 20% to 50% of your previous expense and typical incentives have reduced customer payback. After a retrofit, your church can allocate money previously spent on power and ser‐ vice for other work and pending projects. Many churches handle their lighting maintenance with in‐house staff who are not trained to work at heights typically associated with churches. This situation only works when the right equipment is avail‐ able to perform the job safely. Are you providing the safest environment for your team? Have you ever had to forgo any maintenance planned because you could not get the person to the position safely? Fitzgerald Lighting and Maintenance owns standard and unique lifts that are designed for the chal‐ lenges present in your unique environment.
