Over 20 000 entries were received online. Telkom sponsorship of the EntertainmentAfrica.com portal. Julian secured a three year sponsorship making it one of the only financially successful portals in SA at the time. Invited by Sony Ericsson to be the only SA Music Journalist at 2006 MTV EMA’s in Copenhagen. Secured the first interview with FreshlyGround when they won their MTV International Award. Julian has interviewed a wide range of local and international artists including Black Eyed Peas, Live, Collective Soul, Skunk Anansie, Metallica, Fat Boy Slim, Evanescence, Stereo MCs, Fall Out Boy, Staind, Hoobastank, Rem, Faithless and many more…. First-ever live mobile video podcast from the 2008 SA Music Awards. In 2007 Julian was the opportunity to join the newly formed Telkom Media. Julian was Brand Manager for Music and was responsible for developing the entire music strategy for Telkom Media. This included the following: Digital Music Platform; Developing of music channel strategy for satellite; Music content for WebTV; Music strategy for launch of Telkom Media; Assisting in content ideas for satellite and IPTV offering. In 2009 Telkom Media was bought out by Super5media. The service has not launched yet due to license issues. Therefore Julian has moved on and joined DIGMU as co-owner and Rockstar4000. Julian continues to look for new ways to develop entertainment and technology through online, mobile, IPTV and satellite.

ABOUT DANIELA DELL’ACQUA VON PLATO – MD DIGMU Daniela holds an IMM Diploma in Marketing. Daniela has spent the past decade developing her niche in Digital Media. Daniela began her career in the South African music industry in 2000 as the Digital Marketing Manager at EMI Music SA and was responsible for the first viral music campaign (Placebo) as well developing the first record company website in South Africa. Daniela has since gone on to work with leading international brands such as Softline, MTV Networks, Universal Group, Arvato Mobile SA (Pty) Ltd, SA Music Awards (RiSA), Sony Brand Activation (Client: Vodacom). Daniela has worked with leading contributors in South African entertainment to create unique content offerings via the web and mobile. Daniela continues to offer consulting services to all major music industry players in South Africa. Daniela is currently working on developing a digital entertainment strategy for Africa with Rockstar4000. With over 14 years experience in Digital, Marketing and Media in the entertainment / music & IT industries, Daniela’s roles have included:
