FREESTOR ACOUSTIC TAMBOUR

The Freestor range also features an acoustic tambour unit, designed to absorb sound and reduce the impact of distracting, everyday noise in the workplace. Offering Class 3 noise absorption, the Freestor acoustic tambours feature perforated shutters, with the dotted design increasing the noise dampening properties of the unit. Flexiform magnetic acoustic panels can be easily attached to the back of the acoustic tambour unit to further enhance the acoustic properties of this product, helping to increase staff welfare and wellbeing in the increasingly noisy modern workplace. LOADING THE COMPONENTS INTO A PROJECT All families in Freestor Acoustic Tambour range can be loaded using the Load Family function. 1. In the project folder that you are working in, go to ‘Insert Tab/ Load Family’. Select the component from your saved location as shown below:

2. Navigate to the location of the saved Flexiform Freestor Acoustic Tambour folder. Select the desired family to load from appropriate folder.


MATERIALS Some of the components contain manufacturer specific render materials. Revit will try and find images linked to these materials in following location on your computer: C:\LocalRVT\Flexiform The first time you use these components, you will need to copy the materials contained in the “Materials JPEG” folder included in the download into the Flexiform file above. You may need to create the folder structure if you have not used Bimstore components with custom materials before. Performing the above steps will allow automatic linking of custom finishes from the mentioned location. Alternatively use the Flexiform material library (Revit 2013 upwards only) also included in the download.

General notes: When applying TambourFinish material “Flexiform-PlasticTambour-Shutter-Acoustic_Creamy_White-CW” the material selected for Tambour2Finish should always be “Flexiform-PlasticTambour-Shutter-White-WH”. When applying TambourFinish material “Flexiform-PlasticTambour-Shutter-Acoustic_Silver-SL” the material selected for Tambour2Finish should always be “Flexiform-PlasticTambour-Shutter-Silver-SL”.
