Global Learning

Ideally Located

Every college talks about diversity. They toss around words like “international” and “global.” At FIU, we’re worlds ahead when it comes to offering a truly global education. For starters, when you walk across campus, you’ll easily hear a half-dozen languages being spoken. Living and learning with people from all over the world will greatly enhance your education and expand your mind—and heart. But the “I” in FIU goes much deeper than that. We’re the first large university to implement a comprehensive plan to internationalize our undergraduate programs. What does that mean for you? When you graduate, you’ll be a world citizen who has what it takes to succeed—wherever life takes you.

Without question there’s no place in the world like Miami. As an FIU student, you’re just minutes from amazing internships and potential careers—as well as countless opportunities for entertainment, arts and culture, recreation, restaurants, night-life, and just plain fun! Thanks to sunny skies 300 days a year—you can spend your free time snorkeling, sailing, kayaking, or just relaxing on the beach. Attention, sports fans: South Florida is home to four pro teams—the Miami Dolphins, the Miami Heat, the Miami Marlins, and the Florida Panthers (located in Broward County).
