The foods we eat not only power our bodies, but also provide the nutrition to power our most important organ - our brain. What we eat has an enormous impact on mental clarity, memory, processing speed and focus. The American diet has taken a nutritional nose dive in the last few decades. The following eating tips can help you protect your brain against aging:

Consume Oily Fish and Seeds - Omega 3,

6 and 9 are essential fatty acids that cannot be generated naturally within the body. Omega 3 consists of EPA and DHA providing the highest level of protection against degenerative cognitive disorders. Include Dark Berries – The darker the berry,

the richer in antioxidants. Blueberries have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It contains a unique compound called anthocyanin shown to improve memory and strengthen neural connections within the brain. It also naturally supports improved mood.
