he London Fly Fishing Fair will be hosting their third annual fair in the heart of central London next month. Running in conjunction with the London Shooting fair which is now into its second year it is set to be a great line up of exhibitors, demos and talks. This year all of your favourite brands will be back at the show such as Fin and Game, Orvis and Patagonia. The show also have a number of new travel destinations such at Restigouche River Lodge and a variety of new destinations from Aardvark McCloed. They have many new local and UK fisheries joining this year which so hopefully will see more people out on the riverbank. This year they have many new casting demonstrations coming to the show in particular, the Italian style of casting that will be demonstrated on the pool giving visitors an insight to technical casting situations and how to tackle them. There are exciting talks and seminars from some of the most interesting people in the industry such as Charles Jardine, Marina Gibson and James Stokoe. So come and say hello and ask them all your fishy questions. Their fly tying section this year sponsored by Veniards has over 20 tiers from all over the UK and Europe tying a section of amazing patterns from large predator flies for species such as pike to Trout dry flies, nymphs and of course the beautiful classic salmon flies and modern patterns. Please stop by to speak with them about different pattern, styles and techniques from the very best tyers around. This exhibition has been set up to really allow the public to embrace the wonderful art of Fly fishing and get a full experience and understanding of all fishing destinations, techniques and skills out there.

A great focus at the London Fly Fishing Fair has been introducing new people to the sport from young to old. Here it is easy for unexperienced fly fisherman to get an understanding of casting techniques, fly tying and different fisheries available. They highly encourage parents to bring along kids to the show to really help them gets a feeling of the sport and community. They believe at the London Fly Fishing Fair that it is really important to get the new generation into the sport and are offering fly entry to children under 14 years old to the show. It is a great day out with many things to see, learn and buy.
