EL to NEW ZEALAND Louw Families New Adventure Words/pics: Nigel Louw

E

xciting times lie ahead for my family and I. We have been planning on moving to New Zealand and are all set to go, we might be around SA for a few more months before we jet off to our new adventure. I would like to thank all the readers that support Fishing EC as well as all sponsors and advertisers. I have enjoyed working with you all. Also a big thank you to my fishing partner Daron Parker who helped with obtaining content and photos for articles on our trips. Brett Armstrong has taken over Fishing EC and I am sure He and his team will grow the brand even more into the future. Brett is also an avid fisherman, especially in the kayaking facet, as you would have seen from his kayak articles. I started the Fishing EC brand in 2008 and launched the magazine in January 2014. I have had a great time reviewing articles and seeing all the latest catches from our area. My family and I are very excited about heading to New Zealand. Those of you that have Googled “Fishing New

Zealand” will understand why I am so excited. They might not have as much variety of species, but the fish that are around are quality ones. Main species caught in New Zealand are Kingfish(Yellowtail), Snapper and Kahawai. There is also some of the best Trout fishing in the world from rivers to canals. Rainbow Trout in the canals have been caught up to 25lb’s. Once again thank you to everyone and I will send Brett an article once we all settled and I manage to get some fishing done in New Zealand.
