West Palm Beach VA Medical Center West Palm Beach, FL Emily Fisher Landau, renowned art collector and philanthropist, opened the doors of her Palm Beach residence to raise funds and awareness for the West Palm Beach chapter of Friends of Fisher House. The intimate event included guided tours of Mrs. Landau’s exquisite collection while guests mixed and mingled to support our service members and their families.

Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center Augusta, GA What began as a dreary day at the Augusta Fisher House ended with sparkle and shine, thanks to the Bridgestone employees. A group of Bridgestone staff, 40 strong, arrived Friday morning armed with ladders, power washers and a lot of elbow grease. With 80 percent of the volunteers being former military, the group wanted to give back to the families of ill and injured service members. They also provided lunch in between their spring cleaning.

Tripler Army Medical Center Honolulu, HI The Chaplain Resource Manager at US Army Garrison-Hawaii was able to designate the fourth quarter of their fiscal year as Chapel Community Outreach to the Fisher House because their parishioners have provided so faithfully. Thanks to their community’s generosity, they were able to provide thousands of dollars to charitable organizations within the Oahu community, including the Tripler Fisher House.

Hines VA Hospital Hines, IL The board members and volunteers of Friends of Fisher House Illinois have been busy this past year fundraising to support Hines Fisher House. They funded a new $10,000 storage unit which was completed in late summer 2012. The new shed is already in use. Friends of Fisher House
Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center Fort Gordon, GA Members of the Columbia County Exchange Club provided and delivered lunch for Fisher House guests from Mellow Mushroom one day in December. In addition to lunch, they also handed out greeting cards and gift cards to each of the Fisher House families.
Illinois also presented the house manager with a $20,000 check and six Target gift cards valued at $2,000 each at their annual holiday party for house guests. Thank you for your dedication to Hines Fisher House and supporting the needs of the guests who stay there.
