Our docent will also show us the highlights of the great Emory Carlos Museum. Lunch will follow nearby with authentic Indian cooking, both mild and spicy.

Jessica is involved with Moms Seeking More and volunteers on the Preschool hall Sunday mornings. She enjoys knitting, reading, and running. Jessica and her husband, Greg, have a daughter, Esther.

Jerry Arnold

Jerry’s faith background is Missionary Baptist. He attended the Sunday Morning Breakfast in the past and is now interested in attending a new Sunday School class.

Eli Carter

Eli, a Graduate Research Assistant at Georgia Tech, joins by Letter of transfer from Westminster Presbyterian Church, Gainesville, FL. He is active in the Q2 Sunday school class.

Zebulon and Elizabeth Chandler

Zeb is an Entertainment Lawyer and Partner in Chandler and Chandler Law group and Beth is a VP/Wealth Manager for JP Morgan Securities. They have a daughter, Clara.

Ryan and Jennifer found FPC through the Preschool and neighbors and are interested in Bible study, Sunday School and working with the youth. Their children are Callum, Vivian and Beckett.

Renee has been working in FPC’s Parent’s Morning Out for over 5 years and is involved in the Angel’s classroom and the women’s shelter. Damon is retired and enjoys reading, history and sports.

Kat is an Analyst for Delta Airlines. She is very involved with Q2, Handbells and AMIGO and is interested in refugee ministry. Kat hosted a Lenten Study Group this year for 20s & 30s.

Lindsay is a Project Leader in Marketing for Delta Airlines. She is a volunteer with the Atlanta Humane Society and is active in our 20s & 30s group. Lindsay is engaged to Jonathan Cauthen.

Jenny is self-employed as a Certified Nurse Assistant/ Caregiver and enjoys helping people. Jenny is interested in the Noon Bible Study, Sunday School, Community Ministries and music.

Eddy was introduced to FPC through his participation in the Choir. In addition to singing with our Choir, he sings in a barbershop men’s choir and is a Concierge Society member.

Robert and Susan are retired and have been attending for a year.

They are active in a Community Assistance Center. Both are interested in a Sunday School class.

Kate is an attorney with King & Spalding. She has been attending FPC for about a year, and has gotten involved with our 20s & 30s group and is on the Connections Council.

Josh and Molly Taylor found FPC when their daughter, Charley Moulder, decided she wanted to be part of the 9th Grade Confirmation class this past September. Since then, Josh and Molly have been attending, along with their son Drew, 8.

Emmanuel and Tenneh have been attending with their children, Elizabeth, Sam, Albert and Janet. Emmanuel works for Goodyear and Tenneh is a stay at home mom.

Lynn is retired and is already involved in Sunday School and Circle 3. She is interested in the Flower Guild and providing meals for the Transition Center.

Eric is a Public Relations Manager for Newell Rubbermaid, and Hilary is Marketing Coordinator for Lavista Associates. Both are active in the 20s & 30s group.

They will be married here August 20, 2016.

Lee grew up at FPC, attending with her parents, Tom and Claire Barry. She has two children, Henry (15) and Lewis (12).

Lee is a director at SCAD.

ear Parents and Youth of FPC, you are invited to join us for our first Youth and Parents Lunch and Conversations following worship on June 12th, 12-2pm!

Following worship, we will have lunch together where we can enjoy each other’s company – an opportunity to connect with and invest in relationships within our family of faith.

Then, we have planned several ways we can nurture meaningful conversations around important topics. As youth and as parents, so much is going on in our own lives and all around us. We want to provide a space for these life issues to be able to be explored within our church. Our conversation points for our first gathering will be centered around mental health, depression, and suicide.

For the parents, we will have Leigh Harris, Bachelor of Science: Georgia Tech and Master of Science in Professional Counseling: Georgia State University, facilitate

these conversations with us. Jay knows Leigh from his previous church in her work at their counseling center. She’s got a great bio, look her up if you’re interested!

The middle school and high school students will split into small groups and have conversations with pastors and members of First Presbyterian Church around these topics as well.

It is such a precious gift to be able to talk about life’s hardest places and biggest challenges within the family of faith. As we invest in what is most important to us, may we encourage and support one another in the process. May we share our hope and our joy, our doubts and our fears and be strengthened, by the grace of God, within the Body of Christ.

Pastoral Care, Emerging Generations, and the Samaritan Counseling Center are joining together to offer fellowship and conversations such as these.

Q2 SUMMER HIATUS Q2 will go on a brief hiatus before resuming again in September. We’ll still head to brunch after our 10:45 a.m. worship service, though, so meet us in Fifield at 12:15 p.m., and let’s break bread together.

SUMMER SMALL GROUP Beginning June 6, we’ll meet every other Monday evening at 7 p.m. to wrestle with the Old Testament.

We’ll use This Strange and Sacred Scripture: Wrestling with the Old Testament and Its Oddities as our guide.

Whether you can commit to each week or not, we’d love for you to join us!

ATLANTA MOON RIDE On Friday, June 10th, we’ll participate in a 6-mile bike ride beginning at 11 p.m. in Piedmont Park. REDEMPTION AFTER PRISON On the Second Sunday of each month, volunteers serve dinner to 25 ex-convicts on the second floor of FPC. Since we keep hearing how powerful and impactful this ministry is, we want to get involved. Email Lizzie Sprague at lizzie.sprague@ey.com to sign-up for June 12th.

HOMELESS PRAYER BREAKFAST Each Sunday, FPC provides breakfast to hundreds of homeless guests, and we feel called to serve.
