The Chimes adult sunday school A gora Room 322

In New Testament Greek, the name means “meeting place,” and we are a vibrant, conversational class that discusses a variety of topics, including Bible, theology, current events, and arts. Most of us are thirty something, and many have young children.

Berean Bible Class Reception Room

The Bereans were critical thinkers who, with study, became believers. (Acts 17:10-12). This year our theme is “What is the Church?” It is the people who meet in God’s name, but also an institution, a place, the foundation of our culture, and much more. On November 4, Dr. Patrick graham will join us to discuss The Rise of the Christian Church. On November 11, Craig Goodrich will discuss our Church’s guiding principles, including our Purpose Statement and Book of Order.

With our new Associate Pastor for Community Ministries at the helm, join us as Rev. Connie Lee leads community Bible study and fellowship. As always, you are welcome.

Covenant Class Room 230

We join the Mission Conference in Fifield Hall on Nov 4. Class member Doug Orr has encouraged us all to listen and learn more about these giving opportunities! Be sure to attend and show our support! On Nov 11, we return to our classroom and in anticipation of the Fine Arts Tom Key performance we are co-hosting Mary Carter, PhD from Oglethorpe University as she discusses Truman Capote and provides reflections on the two short stories “ A Christmas Memory” & “The Thanksgiving Visitor”. (Alert: 2 tickets to the Nov 14 performance will be given away to one lucky person in attendance, courtesy of The Fine Arts Committee)

Discovering God’s Word Room 317

Our class is studying the Gospel of Matthew, using Thomas G. Long’s commentary, Matthew, as our guide. On Nov. 4, we will discuss Matthew 2122:14 (Long, p. 232-248); and on Nov. 11, Matthew 22:15-23:39 (Long, p. 248-264). Please join us!

Emmaus Class Room 227

The Emmaus Class will not meet on November 4th in order to participate in the church wide Missions Sunday activities. On November 11th, we will continue our studies of After You Believe with Jeff Irby leading our discussion. All are always welcomed.

Faith and Life Room 218

On November 4, Faith and Life Class will join the Mission Celebration in Fifield Hall. We will join with the Open Door Class in Room 156 on November 11.

First Foundations Room 323

A laid-back, discussion-oriented class of couples, many in our thirties with young families. We try to maintain diversity in our topics with a combination of Bible study, modern day religious and societal trends, parenting and family issues, movie and video lessons, guest speakers, etc.

Forum @ First Fifield Hall

Sunday, November 4 is Mission Celebration at FPC, and everyone is invited to join in Fifield Hall for a presentation and celebration led by Doug Orr and FPC’s Mission Council. On Sunday, November 11, you are invited to join any one of our other classes so Fifield Hall can be set up for Family Service Day.

The members of the Spiritual Living Class study the different paths to Spiritual Living through books and other teachings. In the past we have read C.S. Lewis and Emmet Fox among others. Class discussion is ALWAYS lively and new members and visitors are ALWAYS welcome. Please join us this Sunday.

On November 4, everyone is meeting is Fifield Hall for our annual Mission Celebration. Please join us! On November 11, we gather for the first Sunday after the presidential election. Join us as we welcome Dr. Mark Douglas, Associate Professor of Christian Ethics at Columbia Seminary as he teaches on moving forward in a divided world.

We are a new class for singles and couples in their twenties and early thirties. Join together for topical discussion, fellowship, and even some enlightening Bible Study. If you’ve never had a class before, and you’re a young adult, this one’s for you.

November 11 – Dr. Ibrahim El Sawy, Sponsored by professor at Kennesaw State University will the Covenant Sunday School Class bring us an update on the current situation in Egypt. and the Fine Arts Committee
