MALLORCA ‘SENALLA’ BASKETS These baskets or bags, which are typical of the island, are made artisanally of wicker or palm leaf. They were used for working in the fields or gathering garden produce. Nowadays they are more fashionable than ever for use as bags or for going to the beach, and have been modernised with different designs and colours. SENALLA MALLORQUINA. Esta cesta o capazo, típica de la isla, se hace con mimbre o hoja de palma de forma artesanal. Se empleaba para el trabajo en el campo o para recoger los productos del huerto. Ahora están más de moda que nunca para usar como bolso o para ir a la playa, modernizándose con distintos diseños y colores. MALLORQUINISCHE KORBFLECHTEREI. Die typischen Körbe der Insel werden aus Korbweide oder Palmwedeln von Hand geflochten. Früher dienten sie als Tragetaschen für die Arbeit auf dem Feld oder bei der Ernte, heutzutage sind sie ein Modehit. Es gibt die Körbe in verschiedenen modernen Designs und Farben als Taschen oder Badetaschen.
