Special thanks to Christal for such a nice, personal service and to Tina for keeping our young ones occupied in the nursery so their parents could enjoy the service. Thank you all for making the service feel intimate and honoring to Mom. She knew and loved everyone there and we felt your love for her flowing toward us during the service. Steve and Carolyn
Youth Events Feb 23rd there will be a youth event for ages 1st grade to 5th grade at Northway Christian Church. Starting at 5pm we will gather and discuss the elements of worship. This is a regularly occurring event, the fourth Sunday of each month. The goal is to have a place for our JYF kids to gather together and enjoy the Disciples community.
Fundraising for our Reach Beyond Mission trip this summer has begun! Please look for the poster board in the fellowship hall. There will be envelopes tacked onto the poster board with numbers written on them. Each number is a suggested donation (will range from $1 to $100). If you would like to help us learn about poverty in the Austin area, please donate by using an envelope. This opportunity will be available for a few weeks, so don't miss out! Aerii
Thank You A big thank you goes out to all the ladies who helped with the CCA luncheon. The seniors really enjoy it when FCC brings lunch. A couple of workers said it smelled so good they had to taste it as well! What a successful Fellowship luncheon! A big Thank You goes out to everyone who helped with preparing, setting up, cleaning up and eating a feast of Black History foods! I can’t wait for our next luncheon in March. Tammy Quilting Group This Saturday, February 15, we will be meeting at the church at 9:30am for quilting. Everyone is invited to come and join the fun… we even do a little quilting --- some more than others!! Box Tops We are collecting box tops from packaged foods for Lakeland Elementary. They are able to get school supplies for their students with t hem. There is a zip locked bag on the bulletin board for them. Awesome Luncheon! Thanks so much to Tammy for organizing the wonderful luncheon in honor of Black History Month. It was fun to sample some new foods, and the games were so interesting! Tammy, we really appreciate the effort you put into making this not just an “eating” event but also a “learning” event! We look forward to enjoying more of your creativity in our fellowships throughout the year!
