First Baptist Nashville Scholarships Due Before April 15 The First Baptist Nashville Scholarship Council is now accepting applications for the Marian Yarbrough Student Scholarship Fund and Cox Memorial Scholarship. Applications for the Marian Yarbrough Scholarship will be considered for full-time students at any post-secondary institution. Applications for the Cox Memorial Scholarship are considered for full-time students attending Belmont University only. This is a competitive application process as the Council has the funds to award only a few scholarships. Decisions will be based upon student involvement (church, community, school), academic standing, career goals, an essay and a letter of recommendation. Priority will be given to applicants who have not previously received a scholarship from the Council. An applicant must have been a resident member of First Baptist Nashville for one year prior to entering a postsecondary program. Application forms, along with scholarship descriptions, are available from Student Ministry Assistant Marissa Moore or online at firstbaptistnashville.org. In order to be considered, an application, an essay, and a letter of recommendation must be received by the church office on or before April 15, 2013.

First Communities A small group is a bi-weekly study in a home in the community. It is a very informal atmosphere where all masks can come off and get “real” together. Join us as we dig in the word and try our best to follow Jesus together. Join a Small Group near you! “First Communities has provided for me church family right where I live—in my neighborhood. I have met, laughed, studied, and prayed with families I would not have met on Sunday morning. I find joy, camaraderie, and strength in our fellowship and am excited about what God is doing in First through our small groups!” –Lori Towns ( Noe Garcia, 664.6064, firstname.lastname@example.org
