FDA SPORT COACHING & FITNESS The FdA Sports Coaching & Fitness aims to provide the underpinning theory and practical knowledge to gain an insight into the Sport, Health and Fitness industry. The course has been developed in line with current trends, reflecting the Health Agenda’s aim to increase participation rates and improve the health of the nation. This course is designed to equip you with the skills required in this changing, expanding and competitive sector so you can take advantage of current opportunities and be one of the professionals making a difference to the health of the nation.

Example Content: Year 1 - Introduction to Coaching Practice, Introduction to Exercise and Fitness Design, Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology, Concepts of Sport, Health and Fitness, Introduction to Research Methods, Industry skills. Year 2 – Advanced Exercise and Fitness Design, Advanced Coaching Practice, Developing Human Movement, Adaptive Movement, Applied Research Methods, Work Placement. Entry requirements: You need the 120 UCAS tariff points in addition to five GCSEs at grade A*-D, including English, or alternative, equivalent qualifications. You will also need DBS clearance.
